สารคดีเรื่องนี้จะพาคุณไปสัมผัสชีวิตริม แม่น้ำสงคราม แม่น้ำสายหลักที่หล่อเลี้ยงผู้คนในภาคอีสานตอนบนมาอย่างยาวนาน จากปากคำของคนท้องถิ่นอย่างคุณ สีสมพร ทองนาง และคุณ ไพรัช คุณบุราณ เราจะได้เห็นถึงวิถีชีวิตที่ผูกพันกับสายน้ำแห่งนี้อย่างแนบแน่นตั้งแต่รุ่นปู่ย่าตายาย
ย้อนกลับไปในอดีต แม่น้ำสงครามคือขุมทรัพย์ที่เต็มไปด้วยความอุดมสมบูรณ์ ชาวบ้านใช้เพียงแค่ตาข่ายและไม้ตีไล่ก็สามารถจับปลาตัวใหญ่ได้ถึง 4-5 กิโลกรัมต่อวัน ทั้งปลาโด ปลาค้าว และปลาอีก่ำต่างก็ชุกชุม แต่เมื่อยุคสมัยเปลี่ยนไป ผู้คนมากขึ้น และเทคโนโลยีการหาปลาทันสมัยขึ้น ทำให้ปริมาณปลาลดลงอย่างน่าใจหาย

“ แม่น้ำแห่งเรา” สารคดีความยาว 12 นาที ที่พาผู้ชมไปสำรวจ รับฟังเสียง และสังเกตวิถีชีวิตของผู้คนที่ต้องพึ่งพาสายน้ำสงคราม ตั้งแต่บ้านปากยามไปจนถึงบริเวณปากแม่น้ำที่บรรจบกับแม่น้ำโขง โดยเน้นให้เห็นถึงความเชื่อมโยงของระบบนิเวศที่มีส่วนช่วยหล่อเลี้ยงและจรรโลงวิถีชีวิตของชุมชนแห่งนี้
อย่างไรก็ตาม แม่น้ำสายนี้ก็ตกอยู่ภายใต้อิทธิพลของผู้คนหลากหลายกลุ่ม ทำให้การรักษาความยุติธรรมและความเท่าเทียมให้กับแม่น้ำสายนี้กลายเป็นความท้าทายครั้งสำคัญ

This documentary takes you on a journey to experience life along the Songkhram River, a vital waterway that has sustained communities in northeastern Thailand for generations. Through the voices of local residents, such as Sisomporn Thongnang and Pairat Khunburan, we witness the deep connections between people and this river that have been passed down since the time of their grandparents.
In the past, the Songkhram River was a treasure trove of abundance. With nothing more than simple nets and wooden sticks, villagers could catch large fish weighing 4–5 kilograms a day. Species such as Pla Do, Pla Khao, and Pla E-Kam thrived in great numbers. But as times changed, the population grew, and modern fishing technologies emerged, the fish stocks have declined alarmingly—transforming a once-rich river into a fragile ecosystem under threat.

“Our River” is a 12-minute documentary film that takes viewers on a journey to explore and listen to the voices of local communities along the lower Songkhram River which is an area recognized as a globally significant wetland.
The documentary invites the audience to observe the lives of people who depend on the Songkhram River, from Ban Pak Yam to the river’s mouth where it joins the Mekong. It highlights the interconnected ecosystems that shape and sustain this way of life.
However, this river is influenced by many stakeholders which makes it a major challenge to achieve justice and fairness along our river.
