Phuket’s Regional Blood Centre and Vachira Phuket Hospital will hold 28 mobile blood-donation drives across Phuket in September.

⚠️ Officials say Rh-negative blood remains in short supply, while demand is high due to tourist-related accidents and other medical emergencies.

📍 Donation drives will take place at locations across Phuket, including Chalong, Patong, Thalang, Bang Tao, Surin, Phuket Town, and Rawai.

For blood donation information, contact the Phuket Regional Blood Centre (PRBC) at 076-251178 or 081-9588854.

The Vachira Blood Bank is located on the 4th floor of the Outpatient Building at Vachira Phuket Hospital on Yaowarat Rd in Phuket Town. It is listed as open 24 hours and can be reached at 076-361234, extension 1287.

Thailand is changing its visa-exemption rules from September 15, with visa-free entry becoming strictly focused on tourism.

Under the new 30-day exemption, foreign visitors will no longer be able to rely on visa-free entry for business activities or short-term work. Anyone travelling to Thailand specifically to work will generally need to arrange the appropriate Non-Immigrant B visa before travelling.

⚠️ The change could affect consultants, engineers, conference speakers, and others who previously carried out short-term professional activities while entering under the exemption.

Remote workers may also face uncertainty, as the new exemption is explicitly framed around tourism and authorities have not clearly addressed every type of remote-work situation.

Travellers who enter before September 15 will keep the stay granted under the rules in effect at the time of their arrival.
