Loop attempts to visualise missing pieces, exploring conflicting emotions that can arise when contemplating the unknown. Even in what we might consider empty or void, there is a possibility of hidden substance and meanings. By blurring the boundaries between what is real and imagined, Loop both questions and reveals subtle mysteries that exist within the everyday. It represents a search, forever evolving and shifting, yet seemingly never finding a fixed or absolute destination.

Screen blue light, notifications, the endless scroll of images, and the perpetual presence of devices have gradually seeped into our daily lives, reshaping our relationship with time, attention, and drowsiness. It is an invasion. The anxiety of notifications becomes a shadow, the algorithm mutates into a monster, infinite scrolling fragments our dreams and turns them into digital nightmares. A new and unsettling physiology of rest begins to emerge.

At its core, What Shadows Remember is not an attempt to recover what has been lost, but to remain with its absence. It asks how belief continues to move through what remains, and how photography might hold the fragile space where memory, history, and inheritance quietly overlap.
