L'exposition est ouverte du mardi au samedi, de 10h00 à 18h00.

“On retrouve encore ce qui meut l’acte photographique d’El Ghezal : cet élan de chercher la lumière d’un réel qui, par convention, ne se voit pas mériter l’image, de ce réel qu’une esthétique photographique écarte dans le hors-champ. Cet écarté que l’on aimerait voir disparaître de l’image, le photographe l’intronise au cœur du champ photographique. Ce motocycle qui relie nulle part à la route, ces seaux de peinture en plastique qui se serrent pour ne rien perdre d’une eau trop rare, ce bout de poupée qui emplit une enfance enjouée. Ce que l’empire des images tente d’invisibiliser, l’œil du photographe le fait crucial.”

À Zriba El Alia qui déchante de l’eau qui ne parviens pas,
À l’épine sèche mais enivrante des plaines d’EL Dzéria,
À Thuburbomajus dont les colonnes conjurent les nuages,
À Bir Hlima dont la mosquée effleure l’ancienne église,
À Lélla Beya qui cherche ses terres d’EL GHRIFET,
À Si Mohamed qui aspire un certain « Parfum de gitane »,
À la mémoire du cerbère mort sur la route de Jougar.

Bled el Abar - The Land of Wells explores an ancestral desert territory in Tunisia. Even today, a constellation of wells marks the paths of nomads and former nomads who have lived in this environment for centuries.
These water sources are places of refuge, lifelines for them, their herds, and the wildlife. These wells are places of hospitality for the living, for all living things. But for how much longer?
The exhibition, created with the inhabitants of the territory, blends maps, photos, videos, and stories, and launches a collective call to imagine a possible future in the desert.

Le Catalogue de l’exposition Le cheveu de Mu´awiya présentée au 32 BIS est disponible.

« S’il n’y avait entre moi et mes sujets qu’un cheveu, je le relâcherais quand ils le tirent, et le tendrais quand ils le laissent aller ». La tradition prête cette sentence au calife Mu´awiya, acteur majeur de la grande Fitna, période de guerres successives dont il sortit vainqueur en 661. Éloge de l’équilibre fluctuant, la métaphore suggère que la stabilité n’est pas un horizon de sortie de crise. Dès lors, comment organiser ces forces en action ? Que se passerait-il si le cheveu venait à se rompre ?

Conçue pour l’inauguration du 32Bis en 2023, l’exposition Le cheveu de Mu´awiya s’intéresse à la façon dont nous donnons du sens aux périodes de tumulte, à travers les travaux d’une vingtaine d’artistes en partie produits pour l’occasion. Elle puise pour cela dans les imaginaires liés au mot fitna, qui désigne traditionnellement les crises politiques de l’Islam des origines. Les significations complexes de fitna renvoient aussi bien au trouble amoureux qu’à celui du corps social. À travers cette analogie, l’exposition appelle à embrasser les expressions désordonnées de la liberté.

Quand Adama Sylla découvre son livre "l'histoire de demain" un moment d'émotion et bonheur. C'est pour cela que l'on fait ce métier. Merci à Marc Monsallier et Ange-Frederic Koffi. L'exposition photo est toujours visible au 32 BIS jusqu'à fin juin.
