Today’s Devotion: "Leaving the Booth"

In the quiet of this Saturday morning, identify your "booth." Is it a need for control? Is it a specific sin you’ve made a home in? Is it simply the busyness that keeps you from hearing His voice?

Lent is not a season of punishment, but a season of unburdening. Jesus isn't asking you to leave things behind because He wants you to have less—He’s asking you to leave them so you have the hands to receive more of Him. Today, practice "getting up." When you feel the pull of an old habit or a selfish thought, physically pause and say, "I leave this behind to follow You."

Today’s Prayer

"Lord Jesus, today I hear Your voice calling my name, just as You called Levi at his booth. I confess that I have grown comfortable in places I was never meant to stay.

Give me the courage to get up. Give me the strength to leave behind the distractions and the 'weights' that slow me down. As I walk through this Lenten season, let my eyes be fixed only on You. May my life be a response to Your grace, and may my heart find its true home in Your presence. Amen."
