A MEETING IN OLUDENIZ
A meeting was held on Friday at the municipal building in Ölüdeniz by the authorities from Fethiye Municipality to inform the locals and the British citizens living in the area on the infrastructure work in Ovacık-Hisaronu areas. The sewage network Project in Hisaronu-Ovacık areas was initiated with a 62-million TL investment in cooperation with Mugla Metropolitan Municipality and Fethiye Municipality and is ongoing rapidly. While it was stated that 45% of the project has been completed and a big team is working on a busy schedule to complete the infrastructure work, various demands were received from the residents of the area, who are mainly of British citizens. The main concern was to make the work safer.
As per the safety requests mentioned during the meeting, the holes will be filled immediately after digging and will be made safer and more accessible, the number of the metal bridges over the pipe-lines will be increased and additional measures will be taken by the engineering company members. The aim is to complete the ongoing works until May 2021. As the Municipality and the contractor company, safety measures will be increased and the locals will be informed of the progress in advance. Our aim is to minimise the difficulties and make the roads safer and more accessible in case of an emergency.
