Incredible India - Mysuru Sand Sculpture Museum is the only sand museum in India, which surprised us as this is the only kind of museum we have never been to or heard of. Created solely with sand, water and a small amount of glue is a brainchild of MN Gowri and boasts around 150 sand sculptures across 16 different themes. It is estimated that around 115 truckloads of sand were used to built this eco-friendly attraction.

Hagia Sophia or Ayasofya(Turkish) has many tremendous stories to tell. Originally built as an Orthodox Greek Cathedral in the 6th Century CE. The Ottoman emperor Mehmed II had it repurposed into a mosque, with the addition of a new Minaret, Mihrab and Minbar. Finally in 1934, Turkish President Kemal Ataturk secularized the epic monument into a museum making it an integral part of the cultural fabric of the city of Istanbul.
