Alif, Lam, Meem. (1)
This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - (2)
Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, (3)
And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. (4)
Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. (5)
Indeed, those who disbelieve - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe. (6)
Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment. (7)
And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allah and the Last Day," but they are not believers. (8)
They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not. (9)
In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie. (10) And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers." (11)
Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not. (12)
And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they know [it] not. (13)
And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe"; but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, "Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers." (14)
[But] Allah mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression [while] they wander blindly. (15)
Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided. (16)

Elif. Lam. Mim. (1) O kitap (Kur'an); onda asla şüphe yoktur. O, müttakiler (sakınanlar ve arınmak isteyenler) için bir yol göstericidir. (2)
Onlar gayba inanırlar, namaz kılarlar, kendilerine verdiğimiz mallardan Allah yolunda harcarlar. (3)
Yine onlar, sana indirilene ve senden önce indirilene iman ederler; ahiret gününe de kesinkes inanırlar. (4)
İşte onlar, Rablerinden gelen bir hidayet üzeredirler ve kurtuluşa erenler de ancak onlardır. (5)
Gerçek şu ki, kafir olanları (azap ile) korkutsan da korkutmasan da onlar için birdir; iman etmezler. (6)
Allah onların kalplerini ve kulaklarını mühürlemiştir. Onların gözlerine de bir çeşit perde gerilmiştir ve onlar için (dünya ve ahirette) büyük bir azap vardır. (7)
İnsanlardan bazıları da vardır ki, inanmadıkları halde "Allah'a ve ahiret gününe inandık" derler. (8)
Onlar (kendi akıllarınca) güya Allah'ı ve müminleri aldatırlar. Halbuki onlar ancak kendilerini aldatırlar ve bunun farkında değillerdir. (9)
Onların kalblerinde bir hastalık vardır. Allah da onların hastalığını çoğaltmıştır. Söylemekte oldukları yalanlar sebebiyle de onlar için elim bir azap vardır. (10)
Onlara: Yeryüzünde fesat çıkarmayın, denildiği zaman, "Biz ancak ıslah edicileriz" derler. (11)
Şunu bilin ki, onlar bozguncuların ta kendileridir, lakin anlamazlar. (12)
Onlara: İnsanların iman ettiği gibi siz de iman edin, denildiği vakit "Biz hiç, sefihlerin (akılsız ve ahmak kişilerin) iman ettikleri gibi iman eder miyiz!" derler. Biliniz ki, sefihler ancak kendileridir, fakat bunu bilmezler (veya bilmezlikten gelirler). (13)
(Bu münafıklar) müminlerle karşılaştıkları vakit "(Biz de) iman ettik" derler. (Kendilerini saptıran) şeytanları ile başbaşa kaldıklarında ise: Biz sizinle beraberiz, biz onlarla (müminlerle) sadece alay ediyoruz, derler. (14)
Gerçekte, Allah onlarla istihza (alay) eder de azgınlıklarında onlara fırsat verir, bu yüzden onlar bir müddet başıboş dolaşırlar. (15)
İşte onlar, hidayete karşılık dalaleti satın alanlardır. Ancak onların bu ticareti kazançlı olmamış ve kendileri de doğru yola girememişlerdir. (16)
