When I’m making my stop-motion, I place great importance on the details and nuances within the world I’ve created. These are, in fact, the very details we notice when watching a film. And it’s great fun to recreate them using Lego.

Even as a child, I used to repair broken circuit wires. Now, I will try to repair light kits.

You can shoot a video with a ready-made set and a few smart tools.
But, what about stop motion?
This is where things get a little different.
Because stop motion isn't just about shooting a scene.
It's about telling a story.
First of all, you need to write a script, and then you need to build a world that fits that story.

When shooting reflective surfaces, your own movements, reflections and shadows can end up in the frame, so it's important to pay attantion to that.

I usually use my tablet to black reflections but a piece of black foam board can work just as well.

In scenes with lots of MINIFIGURES, I also mark tiny points on the ground with a pencil to keep track of their positions more easily.

And on some shots, it can be really difficult to keep the minifigures standing upright.

In those cases, using dough adhesive can completely solve the problem.

As long as it stays hidden from the camera.
