2010’dan bir fotoğraf…
O zamanlardan hiç fotoğrafım yok sanarken bu fotoğraf önüme çıktı.
Bruce Fowler, Hans Zimmer’in orkestrasyon dünyasının en önemli isimlerinden biri. Ama benim hafızamda, unvanlarından çok; bilgisi, mütevazılığı, zarafeti ve müziğin yanında hayata bakış açısıyla yer eden bir insan.
İnsan bazen yıllar sonra fark ediyor… Bazı insanların size öğrettikleri yalnızca teknik bilgiler olmuyor. Bir düşünme biçimi, bir çalışma disiplini, bir estetik anlayışı ve mesleğe duyulan saygı da sessizce üzerinizde iz bırakıyor.
Bugün geriye dönüp baktığımda, ondan öğrendiğim pek çok şeyin hâlâ bana eşlik ettiğini görüyorum.

I thought I didn’t have any photos from those days until I stumbled upon this one.
Bruce Fowler is one of the leading figures in the world of orchestration, especially known for his work with Hans Zimmer and many more. What has stayed with me over the years is not his title but it’s his knowledge, his humility, his grace, and the way he approached not only music, but life itself.
Sometimes, only years later, you realize that what certain people teach you goes far beyond technique. They leave you with a way of thinking, a sense of discipline, an appreciation for beauty, and a deep respect for the craft.
Looking back today, I can see that so much of what I learned from him is still a part of who I am.
