Rumors of Dismissal at Juba International Airport Raise Public Concern

By Ajoklou
A concerned citizen impressed by the tremendous work done so far.

Recent rumors circulating in Juba have caused a wave of concern among the public, particularly regarding the alleged dismissal of Eng. Asolic Dau and Eng. Kat Mosety, the Manager and Deputy Manager of Juba International Airport, respectively.

These two individuals were appointed only a few months ago to lead one of South Sudan’s most critical infrastructures. Since their appointment, they have demonstrated tireless dedication, working day and night to improve the airport’s facilities, security systems, and overall service delivery. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed, especially as they have taken measurable steps toward aligning the airport with international standards.

Under their leadership, there has been renewed hope for modernization, smoother operations, and a better reputation for the airport, which serves as a major gateway to our country. Last week when I was going to Juba town I witnessed something great at the airport and that is the installation of the drainage systems as rain water that used to flood the airport whenever it rains is no longer an issue now.

In my personal opinion, and in the interest of national development, I humbly appeal to the President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit, to allow Eng. Asolic Dau and Eng. Kat Mosety more time to fulfill their mission. Their vision for transforming Juba International Airport is not just about infrastructure, it’s about national pride and economic progress.

Both men have shown deep commitment to serving our country and have proven their capability in their short time in office. Removing them at this stage could stall the progress already made and derail plans to bring the airport to international standards.

Therefore, I respectfully urge the leadership to consider the broader picture and support these devoted engineers as they continue to build a better future for our nation’s aviation sector.

Please give them more time, dear Director General of The Civil Aviation Authority

Thank you.
