HEREWEGO🎬_hess is joining us from Ravensburg (Germany) for our 202nd podcast.

"My name is Christoph, aka Hess. I'm 25 years old and come from Ravensburg, Germany. I am a versatile artist, but I most enjoy playing Raw/Hypnotic Groove/Techno. My goal as a DJ is to show people the foundational idea and the healthy vibe that this judgment-free music provides.

True to the motto and my personal guiding principle: ! (Techno Is A Team Sport!) I discovered my love for electronic music as a child, when "The Prodigy" CDs were playing on repeat in my parents' car. This love was rekindled later in my youth. Because of this, I dove deeper into the subject matter of this diverse world and, even back then, began curating playlists on Spotify and other platforms that told a specific story. I play my sets according to this same principle.

I want to tell people a dynamic, energetic story with driving rhythms and playful tones. In my DJ career, I have now released many sets on Soundcloud and have also played at many public parties, including at Club Douala, Schwarzer Adler, Gewölbekeller Weingarten, and many outdoor underground events. I am also part of the SoundSynthesis project. This is a project that teaches young people the fundamentals of DJing and producing, giving them the opportunity to gain a foothold in the scene. For some time now, I have also been delving into my own production, so I can weave stories into the minds of my listeners with my own creations. "

Shaula’s musical journey began in the early 2020s when he founded his own label, Primus, releasing seven albums from neo-rave artists such as BXTR, Ferdinger and Julian Muller.

Dissatisfied with the direction of the industry, Shaula foresaw that the neo-rave scene would become the new EDM. As a reaction to the unnecessary commercialization of the scene and music, he decided to stop the label and focus entirely on his solo career as a selector.

Originally serving as a Captain at sea, Shaula embraced the belief that the rising wave of root techno—though not mainstream—represents the truest form of electronic music. His sound now lies firmly at the intersection of hypnotic, tribal, and ancient energies.

The emerging artist presents his one-hour hypnotic selection — immerse yourself in the sting of Shaula.
