Today, I stepped inside the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels for Pakistan Heritage Day, a celebration of culture, identity and tradition.

From food and traditional clothing to handicrafts, henna, music and art, the event brought a piece of Pakistan to the heart of Brussels. 🇧🇪🤝🇵🇰

But heritage is more than traditions we preserve. It’s also about the stories we pass on, the identity we carry, and the connections we create across generations and borders.

🇰🇿🇧🇪Ahead of His Majesty King Philippe’s state visit to Kazakhstan, Belgian investor Mark De Zutter explains why Kazakhstan presents growing opportunities for Belgian businesses and investors.

On September 11, Brussels hosted the latest edition of the Shanyraq Dialogues, organised by the Mission of Kazakhstan to the European Union, bringing together diplomats, experts and business leaders for an open discussion on Kazakhstan’s new political era and constitutional reform in action.

The event provided an opportunity to discuss Kazakhstan’s recent political and institutional developments, the implementation of its new Constitution, and the country’s evolving relationship with Europe.

Among the voices contributing to the broader dialogue was Belgian investor Mark De Zutter, who shared his perspective on Kazakhstan as an emerging destination for Belgian investment.

With His Majesty King Philippe’s state visit to Kazakhstan approaching, the timing is particularly relevant. For Belgian companies, Kazakhstan offers growing opportunities — not only in traditional sectors, but also in innovation, digitalisation, strategic partnerships and new forms of economic cooperation.

Kazakhstan is also taking steps to make its investment environment more transparent, predictable and accessible, creating better conditions for international investors.

🇿🇲 Meeting with the Ambassador of Zambia

It was a pleasure to meet with the Ambassador of Zambia for a constructive and engaging discussion on strengthening cooperation between Zambia and our partners.

We explored opportunities to further promote tourism, enhance people-to-people exchanges, and strengthen media and communication coverage to showcase Zambia’s rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and growing tourism potential.

Tourism and media can play a powerful role in bringing countries and communities closer together, creating new opportunities for collaboration, visibility, and mutual understanding.
