LESSONS TAUGHT!
Pujya Balaswamiji ; Recently, Pujya Gurudeva went to South Korea and conducted a special Raga Sagara. At that time, this region - Kakinada - Rajamuhndry, Vizag - had a potential storm brewing. Swamiji was keeping tabs on the developments every moment just as a mother would on her child. Swamiji protects devotees with so much love and care and keeps sending blessings and praying for them.
With that divine love and prayer and protection, that danger got averted. At that time, Swamiji even had a phone conversation with the devotees here to enquire if it was still congenial to conduct programs here as planned. Are the roads good? Are devotees able to travel? Like this Swamiji inquired about everyone's safety. The typhoon here was averted and another region had rains instead. We cannot put a stop to natural events, but we can pray to minimize the adverse impact. So with knowledge of the future, even despite Raga Sagara here earlier this year, Swamiji had promised He would come back here in November for Raga Sagara in the stadium outside.
So in this Kartika Masa, we are having darshan of Swamiji as Lord Shiva. Swamiji is blessing us with Gita Parayana as well as Raga Sagara and thereby enhancing universal welfare. The greatness of Raga Sagara cannot be explained in words. We heard the Veena recital of one bhajan a while ago and it sounded so divine. Many of you bought tickets, but there are tickets still available.
Once the event has passed, no amount or regret of missing it will help. Swamij is here to grant blessings to this place. Swamiji blessed devotees at Koti Deepotsavam in Hyderabad and is now here in Vizag. Swamiji expressed happiness about the progress at this place.
Swamiji suggested that this place is called Sirasapalli (sirasa=head), but it appears to be without a head - it has no parking space. So, Swamiji wants to make sure there is parking for this place.
When Swamiji was speaking last time, there was a lot traffic noise outside. So, Swamiji decided that we build a parking lot. About three quarters of the funds have been raised. If the parking lot is done in time, Swamiji has blessed that He will visit again.
Without doing karma, we cannot expect blessings. The Guru is not indebted to us to give us blessings as soon as we ask. Only when we do some good deed or some useful deed do we gain some worthiness to make the plea. In fact, when we do the right actions, there is no need to even ask. Swamiji will automatically bless. Swamiji will grant you the energy to do good deeds.
We see in Swamiji's life history that Swamiji said: You do my job, I will do your job. This is a Mahavakya. If we can participate in Swamiji's mission, Swamiji will take care of us.
A devotee once said he was looking for a job, but got immersed in Swamiji's work. He had only filled out the application form half way, but to his surprise, the employer responded and offered to give him a job once he completed the form. Thousandss of people applied to the job, but he got it.So if we get immersed in Swamiji's seva, Swamij will help us win in the battles of life.
Swamiji thinks about Dharma a lot. People speak recklessly about Dharma often, but Swamiji is always thinking about ways to spread the right knowledge. We should also participate in this noble endeavor.
We will now take pleasure in the Datta Vani of Pujya Gurudeva.
Pujya Datta Swamiji's message:
Harihi Om Namah Shivaya.
Chintamani Ganapati Kshetram is not a temple made by some committee. This is God's Kshetra. Normally, Chintamani Kshetram is referred to in our Itihasas. The worries of the world - health issues, marriage issues, progeny, sale of homes, debts, surgeries - this is not what this Chintamani is about. We have Chinta or worries about this cycle of rebirths.
We follow random advise, we grieve, we fight, the mind turns sour, the rituals we undertake get ruined, our faith gets diluted- these kind of concerns should be gone. We should live in the kingdom of Bhakti. This is the only way in Kaliyuga. What is Bhakti?
Is it buying ingredients for Puja and sponsoring Abhishekas? Yes, this is some kind of Bhakti, but not real Bhakti. Then, why are we doing this? To stead and discipline the mind. The mind keeps forgetting all this when its caught in the web of life. It's like wearing a uniform.
Those who observe mauna sometimes forget and speak. That violates the mauna ritual. So they put a cloth around their mouth and eat in moderation to keep reminding themselves of mauna.
God is not a stone idol. God is in fact in stone too. He is in all five elements, we saw this from ancient stories and we also experienced some. We know that the five elements is Paramatma, we see Paramatma wherever we want. If we call God with sincere devotion, God will respond from the stone.
In every breath, we experience God. That is the kingdom of Bhakti. We should not get into too many questions and doubts. It not only wastes time, it also destroys our feeling of Bhakti.
Our contemplation wavers and gets derailed. The path that we have developed for ourselves gets destroyed. We end up back tracking. It wastes time. It's akin to driving. If we do not drive for sometime, it takes some adjustment when driving again and its same with cooking.
Now, those who played the Veena will not play as well if they do not practice everyday. We should work hard. One person may practice steadfastly and everyone else just follows that one person playing the Veena correctly. But we should not depend on others. We should do our own sadhana. You can follow those who are good, but you must do your own practice with discipline. If you depend on others, you will not find success.
Why do we do all these Pujas and Vratas? We are doing navagraha pujas. Okay, that's good. But when viewed in the spiritual perspective, we do not need all this. When everything is Him, we do not need any of these smaller deities.
So we should do our own sadhana. We can find inspiration from others, but not mimic them. If we only mimicked them, we will fail.
Krishna was walking in flesh and blood, he was showing many leelas .He slew even Putana, but out of compassion for her, drank her milk like he would his mother's, despite it being poisoned milk. He drank the poisoned milk, but she is the one who died. Even though she was demon now, she was once a Devata, she was Meghala, the daughter of Emperor Bali. During Vamana's incarnation, she felt great motherly love for Vamana and wished to feed him milk from her bosom.
The Devatas are always ready to bless 'So be it!'. So, we should not keep wishing to die. Death will come one day anyway, no need to wish for it. Disease, death, difficulties will come anyway, so don't wish for them. Keep thinking only of good things. Do not wonder "Oh my God, I may run into losses", "This friend may dupe me". You are only thinking inauspicious, you are full of doubt. You think the bank may sink and lose your money, so put your money elsewhere.
So, when Meghala made her wish, the Lord blessed her. Vamana took the gift of land and through that quelled Bali's ego. Bali had a lot of ego. Then, Vamana took 3 steps of land and through that action sent Bali to nether worlds. At that time, she was angry with Vamana and wished to kill him.
That is why Putana came to feed Krishna milk from her bosom, but hoped to kill him through that process. Krishna drew out all her poison, as she wished. There was no milk, it was all poison. Krishna drank heartily. Poison was her life force, so she died. Is that the Lord's fault? The little Krishna innocently drank the poison that she fed him.
Meghala wanted to kill him because she was angry with the boy, but she had also wanted to give him her milk prior to that. Krishna did not stop people then from worshipping. He only asked his folks to focus on the Paramatma only, and not the demi Gods.
Based on the Shiveti Shoureti shloka, it is enough if we worship Shiva, Vishnu, Vinayaka, Skanda, Devi and Surya. We have faith in all our Shastras just as Jyotisha etc. We wonder why we do Navagraha Shanti. The grahas/planets are all around us. Will they be pacified with our offering here? May be, may be not! Since those planets are powerful, we offer them our respect. That is why we do these rituals.
I am not saying, we should not do Graha Shanti, but we should not forget our main God. We should remember God while doing these rituals.
To show Paramatma's power, Krishna encouraged them to worship God alone because that gave greater faith to those people and to the sages.
He lifted the mountain with his little finger and for several days protected the people. Then, Varuna came and sought forgiveness. Brahma too tried to test Krishna. This was only Krishna's way to teach us that we should never forget Paramatma. That message is the Bhagavad Gita.
We are so caught up in samsara and its grief. To uplift us, God gave us Bhagavad Gita. Adults too must learn the Gita. You remember everything about what you ate, your investments, the things your spouse said, the insinuations and humiliations, but you cannot remember the Gita shlokas?
We need faith. Bhagavan never said we go to Vaikuntha. He said we gain a felicitous state. This could be Vaikuntha or Gauloka or heaven or whatever we wish to call it.
So you will be peaceful until you die. We will not die peacefully, we will die wanting and with desires.
So pray to God, do not pray for extension of life for two more days. Health we desire is only for the body! Remember you are always healthy, if your soul is always healthy.
Sometimes the mind is unhealthy, not the body. Many old people are very peaceful until they die. Recently, a few devotees - about 5-6 of them - passed away after having lived for over 100 years. One of them ate 5 masala dosas the day before he died. He lived very happily. There are some who are also bed ridden, but they are happy. We should learn to be happy. We should always remember God.
We should pursue what we need to be happy, instead of wasting time and going after other influences. We should only follow what the Guru's teaches us, no matter what.
You are doing Navagraha Shanti, that's good. We don't really need it, we have the primary deities - Vinayaka, Vishnu, Shiva etc. I laughed when you said you were doing Navagraha Shanti. Okay, go ahead. I have faith too. I will also do Navagraha Shanti, but we must place first importance on the main deities. We must place first priority on Chintamani Ganapati. In addition to that, you can do all these pujas and rituals.
Donation of land is so important. Even Emperor Bali gifted land to the Lord. Everyone can participate in the donation of land. Then, the head portion of this kshetra will be complete (in Sirasapalli). We will pray that God give us the ability to make these donations and offerings.
The one who is donating food will not find fault with the food. It is the one who is receiving the donation that will find faults with it. That is how you know the ones who donated from the ones who did not.
We will not take anything with us when we go. A devotee recently passed. He only had 20k rupees in bank, he had told his daughter not to spend the money on him, but to give to Swamiji. It's a small amount, but his bhakti is so great. He did not want to be intubated. What will we take with us?
I also want to get a pond made here. I wish to do Panchotsavas here (the 5 utsavas) so it will become a big kshetra. Those who have the means can also donate some portion of the land adjacent to here. Like and Share

Koti Deepotsava!
All planets and all cosmic planes (lokas) are attracted at the same time when Lord Shiva dances by placing his feet on each cosmic plane.... - Taddhim shankara takadhim shankara ....natya prasiddhi.... Its enough to know meaning of this bhajan....Its enough to chant Om Namah Shivaya. Each syllable represents Pancha Bhootas. We performed Panchabhuta Archana earlier today.
Akasha Deepam destroys our bad deeds and by lighting one lamp gives immense merit in this Kartika Masa so make use of Agni Tattva to do this.
Preserve the gems of hearing good words in your head. We must engage in physical Karma to attain Jnana. It is not punishing the body, it is teaching a lesson to the body. That is why we have Ekadashi vrata. It is for good health. When we do karma with the body, the residual sins get washed away.
God is not in any form, He is light. He is glowing. We cannot see this light, God is formless. We can only see the parts of God in the form of Maharshis, temples etc to uplift the Karma of souls like us. No need to engage in debates about this. Be happy and worship God with focus. Do good to people. Feed the needy. God is everywhere - Narasimha Avatara appearing in a pillar is a proof of that...
Never forget to uphold our traditions by following what elders have taught... Like and Share

First Panchotsava to Mother.
Agama Shastra (preservation of traditions) state that every temple must have the Pancha utsavas. Temples do what is in their means. It is very good to do these 5 Utsavs. It means we are worshiping the five elements. There are also Shiva kshetras that pertain to the 5 elements. When we respect and worship the elements, man is healthy. This is a science, but since we don’t understand it, we say it’s idol worship.
People do Mandala deeksha for 40 plus 40 = 80 days- not eating salt or spice, not sleeping together, not getting angry, not overeating etc. This is also the purpose of Aiyappa mala deeksha. These rituals are for our benefit, for the welfare of the world. Today, there is no peace in world. People fight over even an inch of land and there is bloodshed. We do not take the land with us. Those who believe in God need none of this.
We don’t know when we’ll leave this planet. As long as we live, let’s live in harmony. If everyone follows Dharma, all can be happy. To enable this, Agama philosophy stipulates these rituals. Without understanding of this, people criticize this as idol worship. We find joy in this. People have the right to follow what gives them happiness. If you criticize this, I feel bad for you. You lose. I keep reminding the priests to explain the meaning of prayers. I also ask all the Veda scholars to explain the meeting. We should learn the meaning of the Vedas. When we know there's protein in food, we know it's good for us.
Waking up early in the morning, meditating on God with empty stomach, doing Surya namaskara are all our practices. If you do this, you will not get a big belly. Many in the ashrama have a pot belly now. If you do yoga in the morning, you will be healthy. You must do Surya namaskara 3 times a day. That is exercise. That will keep you healthy. You won't need to pour money into hospitals.
Everyone must do Ekadashi Vratam. There are some who do not even drink water. That makes very happy, there are some in the Ashrama who follow this. They won't even drink water even if I give them. They are so steadfast. They are all healthy! Eat quinoa or brown rice with husk. That is healthier. I do not like people gaining unnecessary weight. If you are healthy, you can live longer.
You must work hard with your body for which you must maintain good health. Once we practice karma like this, we automatically move towards Jnana and Bhakti. You will be your own Guru. You will be able to control yourself.
The intent of the Panchotsavas is not only to follow our tradition per the Agama Shastras, but it is also a way to express Devotion. We see Paramatma in the Moortis. We should not call it a puppet show. If you understand correctly, you will see life in the Moortis. There is the Jeeva everywhere, even in stone/pillar. Prahlada is proof. The words we learn from Guru come in very handy. I spoke in Kannada in the morning and now am speaking Telugu. This is continuation. of the Kannada message. If you combine the two, you will understand.
Truth, charity and other good deeds are strengthened when you do these panchotsavas. It is good for you, for the temple too. Nothing that happens in the presence of God is ever a waste. Om Ayim Hreem Shreem Shri Lalita Parameshvaryai Namhaa. May everyone including Swamiji be healthy. Like and Share

02/11/2025

Blessings on the 12th lunar day.
Ksheerabdi Dwadasi! We normally light lamp for all Dwadasi days especially in the month of Kartika masa. If we dedicate to God this month of Kartika, we go from darkness to light. The lamps lit are also potent for blessing our forefathers. Some say we are showing light to forefathers. But scientifically, when we do Akasha Deepa, we gain broad wisdom.
There are many stories in Puranas about Akasha Deepa and other scholars have written commentaries on this. Vedas and Upanishads are the authority followed by Shastras. Furthermore several Gurus have prescribed actions which should be taken. This is what we should follow. Some people say it’s their tradition to sacrifice animals. That is only violence!
We see God as our friend and savior/protector. That is what we believe. The world runs on faith. We should not misuse this faith. During Rasa Kreeda, it was purely devotion that was dominant. This Dwadashi tithi is particularly important for us.
Why should lamps be offered on Gooseberry( Amla) on this Dwadasi day? The fruit represents gold. We cannot offer gold in that quantity anymore that is why it’s best to use rolled gold. One benefit is that it gives peace of mind from untoward events. Also one Gooseberry consumed with a meal every day can cure chronic diseases. It should be consumed without sugar. It has power to remove life long diseases.
Krishna likes this Gooseberry very much. In one Kalpa, it is said to be the first tree of that time. There are two types of gooseberries, both are dear to Krishna. Hence we offer the lamp with the fruit for Jnana and for health. There are plenty of stories around this. But it is said we should offer it to God first and then consume as is without any additives. This is good for health.
For lifelong diseases of samsara, Krishna is the doctor. For physical diseases, gooseberry acts as a doctor. So it’s good for Jnana and for health. On this day, it is said offering or buying gold is good. Since we cannot afford gold, we use the gooseberries instead. This is not a donation to God but an offering. It’s a prayer or remedy (upaye) to remove darkness and to grant health.
It also grants the merit of worshiping the forefathers. All of this lunar month, they are looking at us. Who are forefathers? There are worlds of Yakshas, Kinnaras, Kimpurushas etc from where we have all come. We need their blessings! Of course, we also need blessings of our departed forefathers too. There is a world of Pitru Devatas. We have also come from there.
We can only talk of these worlds, we cannot even talk about Vaikuntha, Goloka etc. Those are too big for us. We go to higher worlds and come back when our merit is diminished. We do all these rituals so we can gain merit. Vaikuntha and Goloka are too big for our reach. That is only for God.
We are not even eligible to utter the words Vaikuntha and Goloka. These rituals give concentration, a charitable nature, enthusiasm for noble deeds etc. Each one has his own faith. Faith is itself Paramatma. When you lose faith, you lose Paramatma.
Some people have no work, they keep themselves busy shaving a cat, says a Telugu proverb. Some people do sadistic and useless actions as they have nothing better to do. One can do useful deeds. They can feed 10 people. This is good.
A few families in the US said they were inspired by Swamiji’s discourse and they go to old age homes a few times a week and serve. They buy them clothes, they read them Bhagavad Gita etc. They go to Ashramas and see how they can serve. You can learn to make these Pavitra malas. When you offer to Swamiji, Swamiji gives them to VIPs or other dignitaries that visit.
Malas or garlands can also be made with rudraksha beads. Those who have free time can do these things. You can make a set of 1 lac wicks but then when you are free you watch YouTube instead. That is not good! That is very harmful for children. You only watch bad videos. You can instead do the good things I was talking about. You can learn how to make Pavitra Mala from Gayatri akka.
You have learned Bhagavad Gita. Some have promised to learn the Gita, but they failed to keep the promise. They will unfortunately suffer! I will not say anything. I will merely witness. Out of love for you, I will weep, but there is nothing I can do. Also those who are not chanting one chapter of the Gita a day will also suffer. I will not be able to help. You must chant a chapter of Gita in front of Swamiji’s photo daily. I listen! There are so many ways to overcome laziness. Sing Bhajans, clean the place - it’s okay to clean repeatedly.
Divya Nama Sankeertana in the morning is very good at 5:45 or 6am. No matter what, Mani’s three daughters always show up for Nagara Sankeertana. Swamiji’s is noting the devotees who show up for Nagara Sankeertana every morning. Swamiji looks at the photo of attendees every day. I see Appji and then the photo of Nagara Sankeertana every day when I pick up the phone. I like it when you come for Nagara Sankeertana. These girls show up rain or shine.
Swamiji says these children should show up regularly. There may be a few exemptions when there are exams, but in fact it’s even better for you when you take off a half hour during the exams to do Nagara Sankeertana So there are some dedicated practices prescribed for each festival and there is a significance for each festival. Remember that every festival has a scientific reason. This is not based on blind faith. Like and Share

20/10/2025

Guidelines from Pujya Dattaji.
In Bengaluru, there are some colleges where children are getting addicted to drugs. The name has come for them. Parents are earning well but putting kids in residential colleges and schools. We lose our children (mentally) that way. 85% of children might get into bad habits. We won’t know what they will get into.
In several aspects of raising children, taking care of aged parents, keeping surroundings clean, you must take action.
Deepavali, Shivaratri, Vaikuntha Ekadashi, Navaratri, Ramanavami, Krishna Janmashtami - these are festivals which have been in our tradition. Our relatives all get together and spend time happily.
Don’t get jealousy about other people's celebration. You can be jealous about how to serve God. You can compete in doing good deeds such as annadana, winning medals, performing service etc. and doing even better service but don’t get jealous. That's the first thing you must learn.
There are Vishaya vasanas (latent tendencies) attached to sensory organs. I will keep referring to them. You must completely read Ramayana, Mahabharata, Datta Darshanam. You can ask questions and Dattavatar will answer. We will answer and you can feel happy. Only one chance per person. Don’t ask out of topic questions.

Q: 4 Kali Yugas are one Maha Yuga. We are with you in this Kaliyuga, will this repeat in the next Kaliyuga.
A: We have been together in many Yugas also. Keep doing good deeds until the end of this birth, with unwavering faith. When you feed someone, you get happiness. They are happy so you must feel glad that you have the opportunity to do the seva. if you spend your time in such a way, you will get promoted (to better life).
While doing any good deed or any prayer, keep praying that you stay in the company of Sadguru. When new couples get married, they keep saying that they will stay together forever in many births, but they should NOT say this if it out of lust, or desire. Your souls have come together to serve God should be uppermost in the mind.
A father might scold the child asking them to listen to him. That's why the child always looks for the mother. A mother puts up with all the mischief of the child. Similarly the Lord has come to this world with the purpose of upliftment.
Someone cries out Dattaji, Tataji, Swamiji, friend, brother, best friend, mother, father - you can call with any name. You don’t have to say it out loud. But mentally you can have any relationship with the Lord. There was a devotee named Satya who would call Swamiji "Appa (father)". When Swamiji looked at her and smiled, she would just be happy. She would ask for nothing else.
Q; Yesterday whoever was present here in the evening got to listen about Deepavali so what traditions should we follow?
A: We keep listening and watching what to do on festival days. We should follow that. The sattvic traditions we need to follow at home. We need to put in effort to eradicate the attachment we have for our body.
In this birth, we should put the effort in our sadhana so that we can merge with the God. The Jeevathma to merge with Paramatma. You can ask what we should do? Should we tie Raksha, do some pooja? No.. not all that. We have some traditional practices that we do just as we have to consume food through mouth. We cannot eat through all holes in our body. Same way, we can only breathe through our nose. We cannot breathe through ears right?
These are some niyamas that we should definitely follow. We say that the body parts below the navel is Naraka loka; the body parts above navel and till chest is known as Brahma loka; from neck and above that is known as Vishnu loka aka swarga loka. Moksha loka is different we cannot attain that yet.
So, Paramatma is known as Triloka Natha. There are 14 lokas in total. We have so many in our body itself.
The jeevi (life) is pervaded everywhere in all Lokas. It goes everywhere! Karma jeevi does lot of actions good and bad according to its own bases The Jeevatma is above all the Gunas as well. You cannot consider the Jeeva as any of the body parts. It is the saakshi the witness. It runs our body. So we need to be careful about it.
We cannot keep our nature inside for long. It will come out one day and it will cause harm to your family and society. Not everyone goes towards wrong path. There are some who turn out well.
Q: Is Maya Seeta story true?
A: Seeta story is as much real as you and me. Seeta Mata had avoided looking and looked away while talking to Ravana. Ravana had taken Mother Seeta by uprooting a piece of earth because he could not touch her.
You have come this far. You must have faith and get on with your life. There are a few of you who want to reform the whole society into Ramarajya. It's enough to uplift yourself!
This body is like the Narayana Nagara (the city of Narayana). We must take good care of our body and thoughts. We must raise our children well. There are 3 lokas (worlds) are in our body only. The Patala loka is below our abdomen. The Jeevi (being) keeps moving through all these worlds, The Karma jeevi is the witness to all the actions as well as thoughts good and bad.
Q: When the rebirth happens the karmas come back and get attached. In this birth, if we try, there is a chance that the karmas go away. What must be done in order to achieve it? Any special Poojas, Yantras, or Temple visits needed?
A; Keep your children with you and ensure they are in the right path. There are a few companies and government who can help with this financially.
When you gather around with family members, you must only talk about good things, don’t try to bring up controversial topics. Who has done it before? How must you celebrate? You can think about these topics. If there is garbage in front of your house, Don’t blame the government, you can clean it.
Observe Kunti's devotion as the real devotion! You must go and read the prayer of Kunti. Only few great souls graduate to reach the abode of the Lord. We must follow them.
Similarly Purandara Dasa's songs on Krishna extoll that piety of her life. Krishna was her nephew. He could have given comforts to his aunt but she asked for similar difficulties, Krishna can make anyone a King or Pauper. We must also pray like Kunti. She struggled with so many problems in all of her coming births. She said if you gave me the comforts, I would forget You because of ego, I might get complacent. That's why only give me difficulties.
There are rules and discipline you must follow. Krishna asked "Aunt! What do you need?" When you look at that prayer, I get tears in my eyes. Kunti Devi asks for difficulties in life, so that her mind always stays concentrated on praising the Lord.

Happy Deepavali!

Deepavali … On Naraka Chaturdashi day, we should wake up before sun...

Deepavali …
On Naraka Chaturdashi day, we should wake up before sunrise. At least that day we should wake up before sunrise. All family members should take an oil bath on that day. It doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t do everyday. But this day specifically we should take an oil bath. (Sesame oil best)

Prarthana on Yama Deva; My salutations to Yama, Dharmaraja, Mrityu, Antaka, Vaivaswata, Kala, Sarvabhootakshya, Audumbara, Dadhna, Nila, Parmeshti, Vakodara, Chitra and Chitragupta. (14 Names of Yamaraj)
We think Yama takes lives. Yes, that’s his duty but he also give Jnana (knowledge). Yama is a great scholar. You have to recite the following shloka on Naraka Chaturdashi:

Yamāya dharmarājāya mr̥tyavē cāntakāya ca vaivasvatāya kālāya sarvabhūta kṣayāya ca

After reciting this shloka we have to do Tarpana with sesame seeds. We have to light lamps at home today. In the evening, we should visit temples and light lamps

Padma Purana says Lakshmi Devi resides in oil and Ganga in water. That’s why we should take head bath on Deepavali day. On Deepavali day we should pray to Yama deva. This grants liberation to any ancestors in Naraka loka.
This day is also when Sri Krishna destroyed Narakasura demon. We celebrate that as well. Our ancestors also visit during this day to bless us on the Amavasya day.
On Deepavali day, taking head bath is very important. In olden days, few herbs are mixed in the water to take bath. It helps in clearing sinuses.
After that, we should wear new clothes and everyone should be happy. We should pray to God and then share coconuts, fruits and sweets to everyone around us. It is very good if we share fruits and clothes to people around us.
We should cook the festival meal. If possible we should make obbattu (sweet dish) on this day. We should also celebrate the day by doing Nama Sankeerthana. In the evening, Lakshmi pooja should be done.

The next day which is Kartika Masa Padyami (1st day) we should think about Govardhana Giridhari (lord Krishna). We should make sweets and offer as naivedhyam Tataji instructs all to repeat the shloka. This shloka is about Bali Chakravarthy. Swami gave him the post of ruler of Paathala. While he was ruling his land in the world, he developed ego. For that reason, Lord Vishnu came and sent him to Paathala. On this Kartika Padyami we should recite the shloka. Lord Vishnu gets happy with the prayer to Bali Chakravarthi and blesses all.

The Dwiteeya day is known as Yama Dwiteeya. This day Yamuna Devi invited Yama deva, her brother for a feast in her house. So on this day, sisters invite brothers for a feast.

This Deepavali, celebrate it with joyously but do not burst crackers. It causes lot of health issues like ear issues, heart problem and asthma problems. Instead light lamps (Deepam). Now let us sing bhajans! Like and Share
