The Haven of Hope Children’s Home, a sanctuary for at-risk youth in the lush rural community of Woodland in South Trinidad, will soon complete a series of home upgrades, thanks to a recent donation from Marubeni Power International Inc.
“Every year, Marubeni makes donations to critical social initiatives in Trinidad and Tobago,” said Mo Majeed, Chief Operating Officer/Managing Director, Caribbean, Marubeni Power International, Inc.

Following the murder of Candice Honore, Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander is urging women to exercise caution when using social media for romantic interactions.
Alexander, responding to questions at the Post Cabinet Media Briefing said while the state continues to develop its anti-crime strategy, women must also take personal responsibility for their safety.

Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander has confirmed that over 800 Special Reserve Police officers (SRPs) will be absorbed into the ranks of the national Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).
Speaking at this afternoon’s post-Cabinet media briefing, Alexander said one of the key decisions coming out of the meeting was the move to fill 1,154 vacancies within the organisation. This includes a waiver of academic requirements for entry.
“At this time the Government of T&T is looking at all options available to it for the protection of our citizens,” he said.

Police are seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 79-year-old, Jagdish Deen. Deen, of Kitchener Street, Biche was last seen on July 15 and was reported missing to the Biche Police Station on July 16. He is of East Indian descent, approximately five feet, three inches tall, slim built, dark brown in complexion.
He has a short grey beard and a scar under his left arm and on his feet. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, a pair of black three-quarter pants, a black hat and black crocs slippers.

Police are seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 21-year-old, Isaiah Lake of Pinto Road, Arima, who was last seen on July 13, 2025. He was reported missing to the Pinto Police Post on July 16.
Lake is of mixed descent, approximately six feet tall, slim built, brown in complexion, has short black hair, an oval-shaped face, light brown eyes and has a corn row hairstyle.
