Little miss took up sewing at school a year ago!

At the beginning of the final term she said that she was doing her piece for a friend whose birthday we celebrated yesterday!

Little miss said : “ It’s handmade so that it is extra special!”

We got it framed at Horizons.

Special mention to her sewing teacher! Without her this would not be possible because guess who cannot sew? Me🥴😂

Thought twice about sharing… had to block the name!

I have been sharing our journey from homeschool with lots of activities to the world of conventional school.
And here we are; for the second year with this prize.

Consistency, doing a little work everyday, still doing critical thinking skills using Singapore Math books, still doing things she loves so that it is not all about school work.

As parents we have to do our part. School does the rest.

Mom wins come in all forms.

This is our medal haul from TTGF Nationals today.
I really wanted a trophy - yes I (not the competitor) but we didn’t.
And little miss looked at me and said “I didn’t win the trophy mom but this was my best all season. I never won a silver either and I came 4th overall again but with a higher score. I did really well”

And though we did not walk away with a trophy. I guess counting your wins and being positive counts as a mom win!

But was knee deep in work for the past few months so it probably seems that way.

Easter vacay ✅ For the first time ever; I took the kids on 2 day mom time trips (not by choice) ; but upon reflection it gave them really great one on one time with me. And for my son; this was a new concept ; for my daughter it made her feel so special- girls trip!

One on ones ever so often may become a thing for us!

The little miss turned 7 today!!!!!
