Did you know adding sugar to homemade bubble solution is a hack!!!

They made the bestttt giant bubbles!
We never did this before; went to my friend’s house yesterday and she was like let’s make giant bubbles: and that we did!!!

Dishwashing liquid
2 table spoons of sugar (cuz thats all we measured) 😂😂😂😂

The Geological Society (yes I am a Geologist) had their family day yesterday at Bumper Jumperz
The kids had a really good time; it was really great for parents who don’t want to get wet and all the geo moms, dads and aunties had a great time on the sidelines!

While little miss is at Aerial Silks camp; the little mister is hard at work is this 48 piece puzzle.

Yall know how I feel about puzzles: great for fine motor skills, great for problem solving skills, pattern building skills, building patience and deciding what to try next. All skills which translate to life and further education!

We still have gymnastics and swimming but no whole day camps.

Vacation also means connecting with friends we don’t see often during the school term!

Little miss spent some time at VBS with one of her friends. ( Her mom has been my friend for 35 years) Their church always has this awesome VBS with the most amazing decor!

Now that camp is almost over for him, I keep reminding myself that I need to create Caribbean Mom camp for the next few weeks🫣

Making memories at camp!

Every year as parents we are faced with this task. What camp will the kids go to ?
Do we do what we did last year?

I tend to choose camps where the kids could learn a new skill or try a new activity (which our term schedule just does to allow). We don’t do a camp every week either!

I love good books, and a part of me has sidelined reading because of all the demands of life.
But I promised myself that this year since the kids are both at school and I am slowly regaining some of my time that I would read again!
It’s now vacation and they are both at camp/ dance rehearsal ; so i get the chance to read while I wait !

As moms we need to take the time to do meaningful things for ourselves sometime!
