It has been three months since the Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar publicly condemned Aleem Medford’s call for peace and his appeal for warring gangs to unite in an effort to end violence.

Until now, Aleem Medford, popularly known as King of Kings, Cut and Clear, had not publicly responded to those remarks. In an exclusive conversation with Reel News TT, he breaks his silence, sharing his perspective on the criticism, his mission to mentor young people, and why he remains committed to advocating for peace despite the backlash.

Aleem Medford, popularly known as King of Kings, Cut and Clear, continues his one-man mission to inspire and empower the young people in his community.

Despite facing public ridicule and criticism over the years, he says nothing will distract him from his purpose of uplifting as many youths as possible. During the school vacation, he spends his evenings sitting with young people, listening to their dreams, aspirations and challenges, while encouraging them to believe in themselves and make positive choices.

King of Kings believes that more people should come forward to mentor the nation’s youth during this critical time in our country. He is calling on parents, community leaders, mentors and everyday citizens to invest their time, guidance and encouragement in the next generation, believing that these simple acts can make a lasting difference and help build a brighter future for Trinidad and Tobago.
