A great luminary has transitioned, leaving behind a constellation of love, wisdom, and guidance that will continue to illuminate the path of those who were blessed to know him.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Àràbà Ọ̀ṣọ́ Adéwálé of Iwaro Oka Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria.
Àràbà was a respected elder, teacher, and custodian of tradition whose knowledge and presence touched many lives both at home and beyond the shores of Nigeria.
It is often said, “When an elder departs, a library of wisdom is silenced”. We lose a wealth of knowledge accumulated over a lifetime. Today, we understand the weight of those words as we reflect on the knowledge, experience, and wisdom Àràbà carried throughout his lifetime.
Even in our grief, we celebrate his life and the legacy he leaves behind. The knowledge he shared, the people he guided, and his contribution to the preservation of our tradition will remain part of his story.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family, spiritual family, loved ones, and all those across the world who had the privilege of knowing him.
We honor his life. We honor his work. We honor his legacy.
May Àràbà Ọ̀ṣọ́ Adéwálé be received with honor among the ancestors, and may his name continue to be remembered.
