Police are said to have rescued eight Spanish-speaking females, two of whom were minors.
According to the TTPS, the rescue operation took place on Sunday during a series of anti-crime exercises.
The TTPS says, a number of suspects were arrested and fi****ms, ammunition, and narcotics were seized.
The exercises were a joint effort that included members of the, TTDF Special Operations Unit.
The TTPS says, non-nationals were rescued from a house in the St. Helena district. Three local men were arrested in that exercise.
The TTPS says, authorities notified the immigration enforcement section and the counter-trafficking unit.
It says, a pistol loaded with a magazine containing one round of ammunition was also seized.
The male suspects face charges of human trafficking, and possession of firearm and ammunition.
In a separate operation in the north central division on July 5th, the TTPS says, officers conducted a search in the Valsayn district.
One male suspect was arrested after being found in possession of a, firearm loaded with 18 rounds of ammunition.
In another exercise, in the eastern division on July 3rd police reveal that task force officers conducted a targeted operation.
Four suspects, ages 31 to 56, were arrested.
Officers seized one firearm with a magazine containing 19 rounds of ammunition, along with a quantity of cannabis.Investigations are ongoing.
