Royards Publishing Company was founded in 1984 in Trinidad and since then has served the Caribbean region from Guyana extending to Belize, Bahamas, Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands. The Company has been engaged in the production of curriculum materials at the Primary and Secondary levels. Its major thrust is the production of textbook material in Language Arts relevant to the social,

cultural and academic needs of Caribbean societies. At both levels of the (Primary and Secondary) school system, texts include – Reading Series, Language Arts Series and Creative Writing Series. The Company hopes, in the near future, to extend its curriculum base to other academic areas.

The case for the publication of excerpts from Andy’s journalism is strong. For one thing, his English is admirable; it is a model for students of the language and for aspiring journalists. There is the absence of verbosity, an emphasis on clarity and the use of West Indian terms when appropriate. Secondly, his journalism lifts us up from the purely local to the larger West Indian, pan-Caribbean canvas.

Over the decades since 1972 his information and analyses have continuously informed policy-making at the highest levels in our nation. His analysis of events, over a long period has come to be accepted as reliable and public-interest motivated. These journalistic memoirs should now be preserved.

We’re proud to introduce Myda Ramesar, the brilliant mind behind the Making Science Fun series! With over 35 years of experience in the classroom, Myda is dedicated to making science exciting and accessible for students.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience:
-BSc(Hons) in Biology from York University, Toronto
-Diploma in Education (Distinction) from UWI
-Experienced science teacher in secondary schools across Trinidad
-Former Head of Department (Biological Sciences) at Carapichaima East Secondary School
-Coordinator of UWI Open Campus Central Centre

Myda is not only passionate about teaching but has also co-authored CAPE Biology
textbooks for Units 1 and 2, and has been an examiner for both CSEC and CAPE Biology. Her expertise and passion for science shine through in every page of Making Science Fun.
