One of the things I really love about Taiwan, and honestly wish the Philippines had too, is the clear Work and Class Suspension system during natural disasters. Here in Taiwan, there’s an official website where people can check updates the night before. You already know if work or classes are suspended, so you can plan, stay safe, and not stress yourself out.

In the Philippines, it’s usually the opposite. Most of the time, you’re already on the way to school or work when the announcement suddenly pops up. It’s stressful, it’s inconvenient, and sometimes it even puts people in danger. I just wish we had the same organized and timely system back home.

Philippines deserves this too.
