The first day of my Asian culinary adventure, something I’ve been wanting to do for a while but always put off because I was ‘too busy’ - after new year I decided to make time and stop using the phrase ‘I’m too busy’ if I want something I have to go get it- time can be made with a bit of discipline and a rearranging of the way you think. So today, after a long first day I’m tired and very confused as there’s so much to learn- totally different to western cooking but I am so so very happy in my heart- finally I took the first step!

👧🏻Any body else a fan of the Japanese anime spirited away?

So after visiting the place that was supposed to look like the train station from the movie ‘spirited away’ I watched the movie again, fell in love with it again- I found out that a place in Taiwan called ‘Jiufen ‘ was actually a massive inspiration to Hayao Miyazaki when creating the movie- it’s a village set on a mountain full of lanterns and food- much like the one in spirited away- I’m going to check it out today ❤️
