The fact na di ako maalis sa conversation ng mga opisyal ko kahit matagal ko na silang di nakakasama on board with regards to how well and competent you should be pag opisyal ka na is something to be proud of. That recognition is not earned through connections or by simply slacking but pure dedication and commitment. Ako yung cadeteng minamaliit nila dati kasi babae saka pinay pa pero ngayon ako na ang Filipinang cadete na pinagmamayabang at ginagawang ehemplo ng aking mga opsiyal sa mga kapwa kong kadete na kalahi nila. Ako na yung cadeteng di nila makakalimutan.

Who knew that a brief stint sailing could create such waves? As the only Filipina on deck, I had my doubts about making a splash, but apparently, I left quite the impression on my fellow foreign officers. Receiving a message from my fellow Filipino has filled my heart with joy and pride. Looks like I might just be the surprise anchor of this fleet after all! Sometimes, it’s the short voyages that leave the longest trails.
