Why October Feels Special on Safari in Tanzania

It’s October now in Tanzania,

And if you’ve ever wondered when safari truly comes alive,

→ This is the time.

Dry season means:

✓ Clear skies,
✓ Open landscapes,

And wildlife drawn closer to rivers and waterholes.

On a game drive, you’ll notice something magical: not only more safari vehicles out exploring,

But also more animals gathering right by your side:

• Lions in the shade,
• Elephants crossing in herds,
• Giraffes moving gracefully, it all feels closer, wilder, more alive.

If you asked me, “When’s the best time to go on safari in Tanzania?”

→ My answer would be during the dry season…

And yes, October falls right in the heart of it.

But October isn’t only about game drives.

This month is perfect for adding those once-in-a-lifetime experiences:

• Walking safaris to feel the bush under your feet

• Balloon safaris

• Boat safaris for a different perspective on wildlife

• And if you’re heading to Zanzibar, swimming with whale sharks in their prime season

What makes October even better?

✓ Many camps and lodges offer last-minute deals, so you can enjoy one of Africa’s prime safari months with incredible value.

If Tanzania is on your travel bucket list,

Don’t let this season slip by.

Because October isn’t just another month here.

✓ It’s when the bush opens up,
✓ The animals gather,

And safari gives you memories that last a lifetime.

There’s something magical about a safari night,

The warmth of the campfire,

Thee sounds of nature, and the stories that come alive in the flickering light.

What’s one campfire story you’ll never forget from your time in the wild?

Bawe Island_ Where Time Slows Down

After days of adventure deep in the wild, where your journey moves to the rhythm of lion calls and the hum of the savannah,

There's no better place to rest your soul than Bawe Island (Zanzibar Island)

→ It's just a short boat ride from Stone Town,

→ Or a swift helicopter transfer away,

Bawe Island feels,

✓ Untouched,
✓ Quiet and wrapped in the soft whispers of the Indian Ocean.

Here, there are no crowds, no noise, no rush,

✓ Only the sound of waves meeting white sands and the gentle rustle of palm leaves dancing in the sea breeze.

If you’re wondering where to stay,

Bawe Island by The Cocoon Collection stands as a sanctuary of calm, offering villas that blend luxury with nature.

Each villa opens to,

→ A private pool and an endless view of the turquoise sea,

Where sunrise paints the horizon in warm golden hues.

Here,

✓ Wake to the sound of the ocean,
✓ Spend the day barefoot,
✓ And let time drift away with the tide.

Bawe isn’t just a place you visit,

→ It’s a feeling you carry long after you’ve left.

A reminder that sometimes, the best part of a safari isn’t the roar of the wild…

But the silence that follows.

You can drive to see the bush, but to truly understand it, you must walk.
