Ealier today, Monday 7th August 2023, ILO HIV/AIDS Coordinators from Country Offices in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia,Malawi, Mozambique and ILO headquarters in Geneva- Switzerland paid a courtesy visit to ATE Offices to discuss various issue on HIV & Wellness at Workplace.

The visit is part of preparations of the up coming Private Sector High Level meeting and Peer Educators Training organised by ATE in collaborations with ILO to be held from 9th August 2023 at Sea Cliff Hotel, Dar es Salaam.

This week, ATE in collaboration with ESAMI concluded a training Session on Board Competence and rhetoric to Cohort 9 of the Female Future Programme. During this four days sessions the participants learnt on rhetoric skills and under Board Competence they were exposed to practical board skills through a Board Simulation

The Female Future Programme is a training for women from middle and senior management positions with an objective to impact skills for them to acquire higher positions.

Earlier today, Thursday 27th July 2023, the Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) CEO, Ms. Suzanne Ndomba - Doran accompanied by Ms. Anabahati Mlay, Senior Programs Officer had a meeting with ESAMI Director General, Prof. Martin M. Lwanga who was accompanied by Prof. Leon Malisa and Dr. Lucky Yona at ESAMI headquarters in Arusha.

The meeting was essential in strengthening the partnership between the two Institutions and for the growth and prosperity of the Female Future Programme, which ATE is partnering with ESAMI.

Since it’s Launch in 2016, ATE has worked with ESAMI to deliver the Female Future Programme in Tanzania with an objective in increasing the number of women in decision making processes as well as adding to the efforts to achieving gender equality in top leadership positions especially in the Private Sector.

Today, 26th January 2023, ATE conducted a Membership Meeting on the New Minimum Wage Order 2022 & Environmental Social Governance (ESG).

Giving her opening remarks, ATE CEO, Ms. Suzanne Ndomba-Doran, thanked members for their continued support throughout 2022 and assured them that, the Association is looking forward to working closely with employers in addressing various issues related to employment & Labour Matters. She also mentioned that members will have an opportunity to be engaged in discussions on ESG and the new Minimum Wage Order for 2022.

A representative from the ILO, Mr. Gary Rynart, giving his brief remarks on behalf of the Director of ILO congratulated ATE for organizing the meeting where ILO was given an opportunity to lead a discussion on common Issues surrounding Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Policies & Social Practices.

A representative form Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE), Mr. Ross Brighton Kinemo also shared experience on Environmental Social Governance.

The Meeting was attended by Employers from all sectors, Members from ATE Management Board led by the Vice Chairperson, Mr. Felix Kagisa and CPA Eric Sambu and a representative from the Labour Commissioner’s Office, Ms. Violeth Ndenza.
