šŸŒ‹ Steaming into another world… Rotorua’s geothermal playground is pure magic!
From the powerful plumes at Wai-O-Tapu to the naturally warm (and free!) soak at Kerosene Creek, this corner of New Zealand feels like stepping onto another planet. Bubbling earth, rainbow mineral pools, and that unmistakable sulfur smell in the air — nature showing off at its wildest.
We hiked, marveled, and let the kids rinse off in the warm creek after a big day of exploring. Family memories made in the most otherworldly setting.
Who else has been blown away by Rotorua’s thermal wonders? Drop your favorite geothermal spot below šŸ‘‡

New Zealand 🤯 how have I been to 65 other countries before coming here? Glad we finally made it. It’s so beautiful and fun!

Cape Town is such a cool place. Add it to your travel bucket list for sure. Also, don’t touch the penguins.

Uncomfortable truth:
The average lifespan is ~79 years.
Middle age isn’t 50… it’s 38.
I just closed out the first half of my life the day before turning 38 — by summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain in the world.
No fancy gym. No special training.
Just chasing adventures with my wife while raising my 5 kids and traveling the world with them.
If a regular dad can plant his flag on the roof of Africa with nothing but family chaos as ā€œtraining,ā€ then your dream doesn’t get to hide anymore.
The second half is calling.
Stop waiting for ā€œsomeday.ā€
Chase the mountain that’s been calling you — whether it’s a real peak, a business, a move across the world, or just becoming the version of you that your kids will brag about.
Your time is now.

When people ask how I’m ā€˜training’ for Kilimanjaro: I’ve been in dad mode since 2011. Carrying limp kids through terminals, wrestling luggage that somehow got heavier overnight, just trying to herd everyone to the next gate without losing anyone (or my mind). Real life is the actual endurance test—no fancy hikes required.ļæ½Fellow parents: if every day feels like climbing your own Kilimanjaro, you’re not alone. Tag a parent who gets it or share your daily ā€˜summit’ story. Pole pole, we’ve got this. šŸ˜‚šŸ”ļø

Free therapy session, no copay required 🐘✨
Just an elephant walking slow and steady, reminding us: one step at a time, breathe deep, you’ve got this.
Pause here. Let the calm sink in.

Some of the best safari moments aren’t the big animals…
It’s the small, everyday magic: Maasai people walking, zebras grazing with the cows on the side of the road… šŸ„šŸ¦“ā¤ļø
Just African animal do you wanna see the most??

We’ve spent a lot of time in San Felipe… and this is what we keep coming back for:

🐚 Shell hunts with the kids
🌊 Watching the waves
ā¤ļø Quiet family time

Owning rentals here lets us do it more often — and share the magic with guests. oh yeah, bonus activities would be ATVs on the beach and skim boarding šŸ¤™
