Met up with this amazing, elegant and eloquent mama this evening… πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

Mama’s English is a whole royal affair! The way she speaks, with that magnificent accent, one might be forgiven for thinking the late Queen Elizabeth had a long-lost sister hiding somewhere in Africa. πŸ˜‚πŸ‘‘

Our conversation was flowing like a river in the rainy season, and we were just about to dig deeper into my mysterious social life… when, lo and behold, someone came and disrupted the conversation! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Worry not, mama… my social life is a book with many chapters, and today we only opened the cover. πŸ“–πŸ˜‚

We shall discuss more when we cross paths next time πŸ™ŒπŸ˜‚

Hello Botswana, your son is back

19/08/2026

Day 202: Cycling for Global Peace πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΌπŸš΄πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈπŸŒ

Happy to be back in Botswana! πŸ‡§πŸ‡Όβ€οΈ

They say, β€œYou never forget the place that first opened its door to you.” And for me, Botswana is that place.

This is where the wheels first started turning not just on the bicycle, but in my journey of love, friendship, family and following. Before the world knew my story, Botswana was already reading the first chapter. πŸ“–πŸš΄πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ

Botswana unlocked doors for me when some doors were still busy looking for their keys! πŸ˜‚πŸ”‘

It gave me love before I asked for it, family before I knew I needed one, and supporters before I even knew how far this journey would take me.

They say, β€œA tree remembers the soil where its roots first found water.” 🌳

My roots in this journey run deep in Botswana.

So, Botswana, I’m back not as a stranger returning home, but as a son coming back to his family.

Botswana, my home. Botswana, my family. Botswana, where the journey found its wings or should I say, its wheels! πŸ˜‚πŸ‡§πŸ‡Όβ€οΈ

The bicycle may carry me across borders, but love knows no border.

🚲 The Bike Has Been to the Doctor! πŸ˜‚

Cycle House Bulawayo did not just service my bicycle over the weekend, they gave the old girl a full makeover! πŸ˜„πŸ”₯

New mirrors, new tyres, new everything… At this rate, even I’m wondering whether I’m still cycling the same bicycle! πŸ˜‚πŸš²

A big THANK YOU to Cycle House Bulawayo for keeping the wheels turning as I continue my Cycling for Global Peace journey. πŸŒπŸ•ŠοΈ

So, if your bicycle is making strange noises, don’t wait for it to start speaking in tongues! 🀣

Day 201, cycling for global peace.

Good morning, Zimbabwe! πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡Όβ˜€οΈ
Last night, Malura gave this weary traveller a good night’s rest, and this morning, the wheels are rolling again. Plumtree, here I come! πŸš΄πŸΏβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’¨

They say β€œA journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” In my case, apparently, it begins with one pedal stroke… followed by thousands of very stubborn ones! πŸ˜‚πŸš²

To everyone standing with me through prayers, financial support, encouragement, messages, and love, may God continue to uplift you. πŸ™πŸΏβ€οΈ Your kindness is the wind beneath these wheels, because sometimes the legs say β€œwe are done,” but the heart says β€œGhana is still waiting!” πŸ˜‚

I continue to cycle for GLOBAL PEACE πŸŒπŸ•ŠοΈ carrying a simple message across borders, towns and dusty roads:

Peace has no passport, love has no border, and Ubuntu needs no visa.

The journey continues… all the way to Ghana! πŸ‡¬πŸ‡πŸš΄πŸΏβ€β™‚οΈ

One road.
One bicycle.
One mission.
One world at peace. πŸŒπŸ•ŠοΈ
