The awards ceremony of Raindance Immersive, held in a VR cinema as part of the Raindance Film Festival in London, brought exciting news — Break the Silence received the SPIRIT OF RAINDANCE AWARD 🏆

This award recognises outstanding achievement for an XR production driven by fearless ideas and a true pioneering spirit.

Huge thanks to everyone involved in bringing Break the Silence to life. This award belongs to each of you.

The VR film Break the Silence was created by Mriya Production on behalf of SaveDnipro and UAnimals, with the support of Міжнародний фонд "Відродження" and CEO Club Ukraine.

Thank you to the Raindance Immersive team and jury for this recognition — we’re proud to stand alongside other creators driving the future of immersive storytelling.

This recognition goes beyond the screen. It reflects the risks we’ve taken, the values we stand for, and the urgency of the story we told. We’re proud to be among the voices shaping the future of immersive media — raw, direct, and unapologetically independent.

Raindance is known for spotlighting creators who don’t follow the map but draw new ones — and we’re honoured to be part of this movement.

🎥 Our Dream Team is proud to present Threads of Tradition – a groundbreaking immersive exhibition designed to showcase the nation’s cultural identity through cutting-edge technology and multisensory storytelling.

The event was held under the patronage of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and aimed at deepening global understanding of the country’s heritage, people, and vision for the future.

Threads of Tradition – unveils a new format of cultural diplomacy through immersive art and technology. We are honored to be part of the creative team behind it.

Threads of Tradition wasn’t just a show — it was a 360-degree journey through heritage, science, and innovation.

In May 2025, this groundbreaking immersive experience was premiered at ARTECHOUSE NYC, pushing the boundaries of digital storytelling:

🔹 445 m² of 3D content in 20K resolution
🔹 30-channel spatial audio
🔹 15 minutes of uninterrupted, synchronized immersion

Every element was designed to function as one precise system — image, sound, motion, and meaning, all working in harmony. Not a simulation, but an environment that responds, surrounds, and communicates.

We worked hand-in-hand with scientists, historians, and technical experts to ensure authenticity at every level.

💛 We were truly honored to be part of such a meaningful project. Thank you to everyone who contributed their talent, time, and heart to bring it to life.

Being part of the Raindance Immersive Summit felt like a deep breath — surrounded by people who shape the future of narrative formats and dare to challenge both form and meaning.

Our team presented Break the Silence — a social VR film created by Mriya Production on behalf of SaveDnipro and UAnimals, supported by Міжнародний фонд "Відродження"and CEO Club Ukraine.

We chose to tell the story of ecological destruction in Ukraine — through six immersive minutes, six wounded landscapes, and real headlines that follow. No gore. No shock. Just truth — and a quiet push toward empathy.

Grateful to the Raindance team for curating this space of dialogue, ethics, and innovation. Honoured to be among fellow creators who believe that storytelling can (and should) change the world.

We’ve entered an era where the question isn’t “Where can we shoot this?” It’s “Can we imagine it?”

At Mriya Production, we don’t ask if something can be done — we ask how bold can it be?

With virtual production, geography isn’t a barrier — it’s a playground. A castle in the clouds, a Martian sunrise, a city made of light? If it can be imagined, we can build it.

We design fully immersive, emotionally resonant virtual worlds — not backdrops, but living, breathing story spaces.

Crafted in Unreal Engine, every environment we create is cinematic, precise, and production-ready — faster, more flexible, and fearlessly ambitious.

Because at Mriya, we don’t just render visions.
We realise them.

Welcome to a new kind of creative freedom.

What a weekend in Lviv!
Games Gathering brought together a remarkable community of creators, and we were delighted to be a part of it.

At Games Gathering Lviv 2025, we introduced Mriya Production and shared how VR and game engines can be used in modern communication to drive social impact.

Our CEO, Kate Karmalita, spoke about the stories behind two of our flagship VR projects — Murals and Break the Silence — immersive experiences that amplify voices from Ukraine and help to preserve the country’s cultural memory.

We also showcased our expertise in building virtual environments with Unreal Engine, demonstrating how virtual production is shaping the future of filmmaking.

In our hands, game technologies become tools for powerful, human-centred communication — a new language for sharing what matters.

We’re grateful to be part of the vibrant Ukrainian game development community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect, exchange ideas, and talk tech.
Let’s keep creating — together.

Unveiling "Ashen": a journey into animation magic!

Today, we're excited to share a sneak peek into "Ashen," a project that's not just another animation—it's an adventure that brought us many "firsts ever," adding cool experiences to our workflow and skills!

✨ What is Ashen? ✨
"Ashen" is our first animation work, a collaborative masterpiece led by the brilliant Ruby Bell and produced by an outstanding team — Bell, Michelle Chan, Giorgia Starawuk, and executive producer Mandy Walker ACS, ASC. It's a global effort, and we're proud to be part of this creative constellation.

Talented designers of our Mriya team fully used the features of Unreal Engine to craft the lifelike objects with realistic lighting that dynamically adjusts based on the physical movements of each item.

✨ What Makes it Cool? ✨
Every inch of "Ashen" cartoon is a masterpiece, crafted with sophisticated details. From wallpaper patterns to table feet, each element has received utmost attention. Crafting such perfection takes days, but the result is worth every moment.

You can make sure of this, by seeing the carousel with the objects our team created. Stay tuned to witness the magic unfold behind the scenes as we bring this super-realistic cartoon to life.

We will share a link for our Ukrainian fellows below, and here we share the main thoughts from the article for our English followers.

🔷 About Mriya and its perspectives 🔷

- Mriya Production aims to popularize Ukraine as a filming location and promote new technology in the film industry.

- The company works as a Remote Virtual Production Department for global studios and was among the first globally to create a service exclusively focused on virtual production.

🔷About the future of VP in film industry 🔷

- Large-scale blockbusters won't require huge pavilions, positively impacting film budgets.

- There will be improvements in realism and interactivity with advancements in technology and computing power.

- Virtual production ensures cost-effectiveness compared to green screens depending on the project's requirements. In some cases, technology use can be two or ten times cheaper, especially for advertising or music videos.

We keep talking about virtual production, but you'd probably ask: how does this thing work?

Virtual production combines real-world elements with digital effects in real-time, creating immersive scenes. Unlike traditional green-screen production, 3D environments are pre-rendered, live-rendered from the camera perspective, and displayed on LED screens, all captured directly on camera.

How the typical process of the VP looks like?

🔵 Step 1. Previsualization: planning the scenes and camera movements, same as for classic shooting.
🔵 Step 2. Virtual Sets and Environments: creating digital sets, backgrounds, and environments using computer-generated imagery (CGI) or 3D modeling (displayed on large LED walls or projection screens on the physical set).
🔵 Step 3: Filming of real objects: live actors and physical objects are placed within this virtual environment.
🔵 Step 4: Camera Tracking: Cameras used in virtual production are typically equipped with motion-tracking technology, allowing them to move within the virtual environment seamlessly.
🔵 Step 5: Real-Time Rendering: A powerful computer system renders the virtual environment in real-time based on the camera's position and movement, so a crew can see the final composition on the screens.
🔵 Step 6: Real-Time Feedback: A crew make immediate adjustments and creative decisions.
🔵 Step 7: Post-Production Integration: small adjustments, such as fine-tuning, color grading, and adding additional effects
