A fireplace (from Latin caminus — open hearth) is a type of heat generator furnaces in which heat generation from the primary type of energy (chemical heat of combustion of fuel) occurs directly in the process zone (ZTP), which is mixed with the heat generation zone (HRT) and with an open fuel tank in the working space of the furnace, which limits the heating of the surrounding space by convection and thermal conductivity gives the predominant potential to radiant heat exchange in certain wavelength ranges.
