The motherwort plant has a calming effect on the central nervous and cardiovascular systems, in some cases it is stronger than valerian, has antispasmodic properties, lowers blood pressure, increases the strength of heart contractions and slows down the rhythm, has a hemostatic, diuretic, astringent, anticonvulsant effects, regulates the menstrual cycle.
