In honor of International Aviation and Cosmonautics Day, our movie “Mission — Cosmos. The Dream” is out now and it is showing in Planeta Kino cinema theaters all across Ukraine.

We are glad to share the most precious moments from our pre-premiere screening of “ONE UNIVERSE IS NOT ENOUGH. IVAN MARCHUK” movie at Budynok Kino.

A cheerful evening that highlighted the end of winter and begging of spring. The time that is truly admired by Ukrainian maestro himself. Spring and winter are Ivan Marchuk’s favorite seasons. The arrival of spring is indicated by the title of one of them: "And Spring is Already on the Way." It is an attempt to find harmony with nature in the anticipation of a new life. And this was just a part of a great journey that was touching guests’ hearts from a big screen showcasing the most prominent artworks of Ivan Marchuk. Most importantly, we made it possible to open a door to his soul and show where his inspiration comes from throughout the years of his extraordinary life.

Our movie was supported by a virtuous performance of Ivan Marchuk’s daughter, Bohdana Pivnenko, well-known violinist, whose talent shines through as much as her father’s one.

We are grateful that this evening became the one to celebrate and remember and we are looking forward to bringing ONE UNIVERSE IS NOT ENOUGH. IVAN MARCHUK” movie to the international audience.

Today, when people celebrate love, here at BO cinema we join with a celebration of art.

We are delighted to announce our pre-premiere screening of “ONE UNIVERSE IS NOT ENOUGH. IVAN MARCHUK” movie about the unique universe of the legendary Ukrainian artist, whose paintings are already changing the world. An artist, who included in the British rating of "100 Geniuses of Modernity". A painter with phenomenal work capacity and obsession with art. An innovator who opposed the Soviet regime, resolutely rejecting the traditions of socialist realism. A genius who is ready to paint the sky and wrap the entire Earth with his canvas.

This much anticipated event is going to happen on February, 28 at 6 pm at Budynok Kino in Kyiv.

Our project, made with deep gratitude and greatest inspiration in our hearts, was finally shown at Budynok Kino in Kyiv.

Much anticipated documentary «Mission — Cosmos. The Dream» touched the hearts on the 5th of December, same day 27 years ago, when the international mission on NASA’s Space Shuttle Columbia was successfully finished with Leonid Kadenyuk, our first astronaut of independent Ukraine to fly into outer space, on board.

The film, created with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency, not only tells the story of Kadenyuk's space mission, but also immerses the viewer in the struggle for the existence of the space industry in Ukraine.

Thanks to the work of screenwriter and producer Valeriia Ivanenko and directors Serhiy Volkov, Orest Bork and Ihor Strymbytskyi, the story is filled with emotional moments and inspiration that is transmitted through the screen.

The movie "Mission-Cosmos. The Dream" is not just a documentary project, but a real source of inspiration for those who aspire to reach the stars.

Today we still feel all the terrible consequences of the last massive rocket attack on the 8th of July. The day when not only were the Okhmatdyt walls destroyed, but also children’s precious lives.

Feeling all of the pain and knowing how it is not easy to shed light on the topic of Ukrainian children suffering from the war, we decided to announce our most touching yet very special project “CHILDREN AND WAR”.

Situation with Okhmatdyt became an occasion to remind ourselves once again of what an important project we have been working on. We just haven’t talked about it lately, but have been working on it constantly. It is crucial to pay attention to kids in Ukraine now.

“CHILDREN AND WAR” is a collection of documentary testimonies of Ukrainian children who witnessed the warfare, suffered or fled from the war to other countries. Documentary testimonies of little Ukrainians make the audience think about how the war affects the fate of children and how they get along in this reality. It is a movie about children's dreams of a future without war, and about what we can do to make that dream a reality.

Since the war started, BO Cinema has been back and forth with its production due to understandable emotionality behind it. But ever since the biggest children hospital has been destroyed, we feel the urge to bring as much attention as possible to our little Ukrainians.

Here at BO Cinema we want to express our deepest gratitude for Bel Air Media’s trust in us. Along with Bertrand Normand, the ideological inspirer behind the film about Wartime Elegy ballet, we made the whole film production process happened at National Opera of Ukraine.

The well known in the world of ballet, Alexei Ratmansky was impressed by the scale of aggression from Russia in Ukraine and, using his unique talent, he created Wartime Elegy in September, 2022. This spectacular yet deeply touching ballet performance has finally come to the stage of National Opera of Ukraine this summer and also has been filmed on premises by BO Cinema to become a lasting project all across Europe.

Wartime Elegy is sending powerful message to the world about people of Ukraine suffering from war. Using his extensive ballet vocabulary, Alexei Ratmansky has wisely added a contemporary edge to this work that lifts it beyond the ordinary.

What’s also making Wartime Elegy so special is that all the ballet dancers are leading soloists of the theater: Nataliya Matsak, Olga Golitsa, Tetiana Lyozova, Anastasia Shevchenko, Mykyta Sukhorukov, Yaroslav Tkachuk, Serhiy Kryvokon and Yevhen Logvinenko.

While such art happens in our country there’s a huge faith in our future victory.

We are proud that this film will be aired in France and Germany this coming fall.

We have good news!:) The film "SHEPHERDS" was included in the catalog of Ukrainian short films and presented by the Kyiv International Short Film Festival team at the film market in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The collected work demonstrated the talent and creativity of Ukrainian cinematographers.
