⚡ The Black Sea faces a long-term threat from naval mines.

Both Russia and Ukraine have laid mines in the region, primarily to deter coastal attacks.
These mines pose a danger to commercial shipping and have been found drifting near Ukraine's ports, as well as in the waters of Türkiye, Bulgaria, and Romania.

Russia is capable of producing around 30,000 strike drones per year, and by next year output could double, The New York Times reports.

In 2025 alone, Russia has already launched more than 34,000 strike drones and decoys - nine times more than during the same period last year.

Ukraine shoots down about 88% of these drones, but even the remainder is enough to cause damage.

The Kremlin has made UAV production a state priority.

The “Motherland Monument” has been illuminated with a laser-light installation titled “The Power of Values.”

The project was created by artist Mykola Kabluka. This is the first time such a laser-light project has been created in Ukraine. The installation reaches 102 meters in height and represents five core values of the Ukrainian people: freedom, resilience, love, justice, unity.

“The goal is to show the world that the word Ukraine, now known globally because of the war, stands for something deeper — values. What lies inside, beyond being seen only as a victim of war. We decided to use Europe’s largest sculpture, the Motherland Monument, which embodies Ukraine itself. Through special digital art, we create graphics that give the illusion of looking inside — into the soul and the heart of Ukraine and Ukrainians,” said Kabluka.

Ukraine and Poland have established a Joint Task Force for Unmanned Aerial Systems.

A Memorandum was signed with the Minister of National Defence of Poland, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, and the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, in Kyiv on September 18.

The central element of this Task Force will be joint training programs. It will also:
📌 facilitate the exchange of operational knowledge and experience in the field of UAVs;
📌 develop and test methods of drone use and countermeasures, integrating innovative technologies;
📌 strengthen interoperability between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Poland and ensure compatibility with NATO standards.
