Fires are being reported in the Askania-Nova Biosphere Reserve in the Russian-occupied Kherson Oblast.

Over the course of a month, fires have burned nearly 4,000 hectares of the reserve’s natural areas. The reserve is also facing problems with its water supply.

This was reported to Vgoru by Viktor Shapoval, director of the F.E. Falz-Fein Askania-Nova Biosphere Reserve.
According to him, fires and water supply are currently the reserve’s main problems.

The situation is being monitored remotely using satellite imagery, including Sentinel-2 images and NASA FIRMS data. Changes are recorded every few days, while fires are occurring in different functional zones of the reserve.

Russia is escalating its ballistic terror against Ukrainian cities with weapons supplied by North Korea.

During the overnight attack on August 11, Russia again deployed North Korean KN-23 and KN-24 ballistic missiles as part of a combined strike. In Zaporizhzhia alone, missiles manufactured by Russia and North Korea killed seven civilians and wounded dozens more.

Pyongyang has supplied Russia with artillery ammunition and ballistic missiles since at least 2023, while North Korean troops have directly participated in combat operations since 2024. Their deployment alongside launch systems in Russia's border regions is also giving the North Korean military valuable experience in modern warfare.

This military alliance threatens security in Europe, the Pacific, and far beyond.
