“There will be a complete reboot of the Office of the President of Ukraine. Tomorrow I will hold consultations regarding the new Head of the Presidential Office,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

He added that he expects the prime minister and lawmakers to swiftly approve the state budget for 2026 and submit new candidates for the positions of Energy Minister and Justice Minister.

Zelensky stressed that current ministers must be evaluated “to draw clear conclusions about whether they are capable of meeting the challenges of this winter and this war.”

The President also instructed the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to conduct an assessment of law enforcement agencies and regional authorities, warning: “Decisions will follow. There is a lot of negative coming from the regions.”

Ukrainian forces carried out a sweeping overnight strike Friday, hitting a refinery in Saratov, a drone storage site at the Saky airfield in occupied Crimea, several power substations, and military depots in occupied Donetsk and Luhansk — a multi-target operation spanning hundreds of kilometers.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán arrived in Moscow on Friday to meet Vladimir Putin, saying his main goal is securing Hungary’s energy supply for the winter and next year.

Orbán acknowledged the war in Ukraine would “hardly be avoided” in the talks.

Hungary remains one of the few EU and NATO states maintaining close ties with the Kremlin. The US recently granted Budapest an exemption to keep using Russian oil and gas, and Hungary has already imported 8.5 million tons of oil and over 7 bcm of gas from Russia this year.

Orbán continues to question Western military aid to Kyiv and has revived the idea of hosting a “peace summit” in Budapest between Trump and Putin — a plan shelved earlier this year.
