RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA IS NOT AIMED AT LEAST INTELLIGENT.
By Dmytro Kolchynskyy
It is aimed at the most emotionally vulnerable.
People rarely change their minds because of information. They change their minds because information resonates with an emotional need.
Several months ago, I wrote a piece titled *"Eurasian Espionage & Emotional Intelligence"* exploring how the ancient use of sexuality continues to play a role in international politics, influence operations, and warfare.
The EU has sanctioned Alexandra (Sasha) Jost, the influencer behind “Sasha Meets Russia,” after reports that her pro-Kremlin content was funded through RT’s legal entity. She presents herself as Russian-American.
This case matters because modern propaganda often does not look like propaganda. It can look like lifestyle content, romance, travel, culture, or personal authenticity.
Watching the phenomenon of "Sasha Meets Russia," I find myself returning to the same question:
Who is the real target audience?
And what exactly is being sold — a person, a lifestyle, an identity, or a political narrative?
