Interview with ahead of the release of his new EP «Terrikon Jucie»
Hello, Volodymyr! Hows life, which takes up most of your life now, do you have time for music?
Hello, now I work a lot for the good of the state. I have a little time for music, but not as much as before. I try to devote all my free time to music. Since 2016, I have been writing music only in Ableton and still do not exchange it for any other DAW. From vst, I love Roland Cloud the most - it is a real must-have for everyone! I most often use SH-101, Pro-1, TR-808, TB-303 and Juno. I also adore Diva and almost always use Pro-Q.
Can you please give me some advice on how to start writing a track and how to finish it?
There is only one piece of advice here - you need to do it, take it and do it. If the muse has come to you, it is better not to let it go and use it to the maximum. There are days when nothing works out at all - then you need to postpone everything, rest, and then with new strength make music again.
What inspires you to write a cool track? Maybe you are inspired by someone or something specific? How do you feel about sampling?
I usually get inspired by Memphis rap. When I hear cool lines, I immediately think how cool they can be put on a beat and create a cool track. I use samples a lot and I feel good about sampling.
What do you see as the music of the future? What will be forever, and what will soon pass?
Classic electro will always be there! But these modern TikTok songs will soon be forgotten by everyone!)
I think that in 2027 genres will be even more mixed, there will be almost no pure styles left. Hybrid sound will grow: techno with elements of trance and breakbeat, electro with industrial, UK vibe in various forms.
What can we expect from you in the future, what musical plans do you have?
Besides this release (Terrikon Jucie), our Grid User EP will be released soon. It's 4 tracks that are not like what we usually do, but I promise you - it will be a 4 banger, 100 percent!!) I'm also preparing one more independent EP, it's already finished, I just need to send it to labels.
