Instead of dawn, thick smoke in Lviv: Mayor reports on the consequences of the attack in the city as of now.

The Zaliznychny and Halytskyi districts were the most affected:
• 46 houses were damaged, over 500 windows were broken.
• 15 apartments are uninhabitable — 28 residents were offered temporary free accommodation in a hotel.
• 20 cars were damaged.
• 3 buildings of the Lviv Polytechnic, city courts and over 20 small and medium-sized business premises were damaged.

In the morning, the Russians attacked Kharkiv with drones: 9 people were injured, - the regional prosecutor's office.

"Among the injured are three women and their children: three boys, two of whom were born yesterday and one on July 8. The mothers and babies were diagnosed with acute stress reactions.

They were in a maternity hospital, which was attacked by Russian UAVs."

A dental clinic, an educational institution and a non-residential building were also damaged.

In the Kherson region, the Russians shelled a healthcare facility in Belozerka with artillery: a patient and two employees were injured.

UN: June Marks Deadliest Month for Ukrainian Civilians in Three Years

The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission reported that 232 civilians were killed and 1,343 injured in Ukraine in June — the highest monthly toll in the past three years.

In the first half of 2025 alone, there were 6,754 civilian casualties, marking a 54% increase compared to the same period last year. The UN attributed the spike to massive Russian missile and drone strikes on cities and towns near the front line.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the UN has recorded:

▪️13,580 civilians killed, including 716 children
▪️34,115 injuries, including 2,173 children

Kyiv Suffers Combined Russian Attack: 2 Dead, 16 Injured

Last night, Russia launched a combined missile and drone attack on Kyiv, resulting in at least two deaths and 16 injuries.

The strike caused widespread fires and damage across multiple districts:
• Shevchenkivskyi District: Fire in a residential building
• Darnytskyi District: Fires at a gas station and in garages; debris fell into a residential courtyard
• Solomianskyi District: Roof fire in a building
• Holosiivskyi District: Truck caught fire
• Podilskyi District: Debris fell on the territory of a non-residential building

Several city streets are closed, and authorities report a high level of air pollution. Emergency services are working at the scene.

21-Year-Old Cadet Proposes to His Beloved at the Training Ground After Tests

During training exercises, 21-year-old Bohdan proposed to his beloved, 18-year-old Bohdana, presenting her with a bouquet and a ring.

“I want to go through not only this lane with you, but also my whole life. Because the strongest bulletproof vest is love,” Bohdan said — and Bohdana said “yes.”

Both are from the Donetsk region. The couple plans to celebrate their wedding after Bohdan takes his oath.

A new large-scale attack by Russia against our cities. There were the most air targets in a day – 741 targets: 728 drones of various types, of which more than 300 are “Shaheds”, and 13 missiles – “Kinzhal” and “Iskander”.

Most of the targets were shot down. Our interceptor drones were used – there are dozens of hits, we are scaling up the technology. Mobile fire groups were also working – we also have dozens of hits.

Another prisoner exchange has taken place.

Many of those who returned had been held in Russian captivity since 2022.

“Our defenders who fought for Ukraine in various regions are coming home today: Donetsk, Mariupol, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson. These include soldiers of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, the State Special Transport Service — and civilians as well,” President Zelenskyy said.

A key feature of this exchange is the return of Ukrainian defenders whom Russia had sentenced to long prison terms, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets noted.

Some of the released military personnel had previously been listed as missing.

According to the Coordinating Headquarters, the youngest released defender is 20 years old, and the oldest is 59. The group includes wounded and seriously ill soldiers, as well as those under 25.

Explosions rocked the city of Kyiv for hours overnight on July 4 as Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack targeting the capital and other cities across Ukraine.

At least 19 people have been injured, with 14 victims hospitalized, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

The attack damaged apartment buildings, businesses, a school, a medical facility, railway lines, and other civilian infrastructure in multiple districts. Fires blazed across the city, making the air dangerous to breathe.

Matviychyk lost his left arm during the shelling of a playground in Kryvyi Rih. The boy’s mother died on the spot.

He is currently at the Superhumans Center: he is undergoing rehabilitation, has learned to swim in the pool and cook pizza in an ergonomic kitchen.

When he learns to grate cheese and succeeds, he says: “Mom is looking at me now and is very proud of me.”

Currently, three children are at the Superhumans Center at the same time. All with their fathers. Marichka’s mother died during the shelling of Zaporizhzhia. The girl was found by miracle. Her dog barked, and rescuers realized that someone was under the rubble.

“All our superchildren lost not only a part of themselves — they lost their relatives, friends, and their ordinary lives.

Our task is to become their family, because they are with us for years. A child must change about 35 prostheses during his life, because he grows quickly. But most importantly, they have to accept themselves,” wrote Olga Rudneva
