Angelina Jolie spoke with medics, local families and volunteers during her visit to Mykolaiv and Kherson, the international charity Legacy of War Foundation said.

The celebrity also visited a shelter where local schoolchildren study and doctors provide medical care.

"The residents of Mykolaiv and Kherson live in danger every day, but they refuse to give up. At a time when governments around the world turn their backs on protecting civilians, their strength and support for each other inspires sincere respect and humility.

Ukraine presented a new sculpture “No Fate” at Burning Man after the destruction of “Black Cloud.”

The installation continues the idea of the previous work and carries the message: “There is no fate except the one we create,” a line from Sarah Connor in the film “Terminator 2.”
