It is used for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (flatulence, gastritis, biliary dyskinesia) to relieve spasms, improve digestion, increase appetite, improve intestinal motility and secretion. In diseases of the respiratory system (laryngitis, bronchitis, pneumonia), it is used as an expectorant and bactericidal. Used as a sedative. Included in diaphoretic and diuretic fees.
