Information about the "Gerda" Charitable Foundation for our friends abroad
Charity organization “Charity Foundation “Gerda” named after Anna Smolskaya” was founded by a group of enthusiasts in 2011.
The initial mission of the Foundation was help in treating of sick children, support talented youth, educational programs and book publishing.
Over time, functioning of the Foundation has broadened - volunteers began to conduct free educational Health First Aid trainings all over Ukraine.
The Fund took an active part in the fight against the pandemic COVID-19, purchasing medical equipment and personal protective equipment, just like system support for socially vulnerable groups of the population.
Since the beginning of massive act of war by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, all the activities of the Foundation were altered into the provision of humanitarian assistance to the population.
Currently, the Foundation “Gerda” unites more than 70 volunteers who coordinate work of the Foundation in Ukraine and Europe.
The Foundation “Gerda” is officially registered in Ukraine as a non-profitable charity organization and is exempt from taxation.
According to the Statute of the Foundation, 100% of charity donations are used for their intended purpose - the Foundation does not take any commissions for salaries or administrative expenditures.
