Thugs steal ambulance from Kibaale District.

Police in Kibaale district are on a manhunt for unknown thugs who made off with an ambulance belonging to EMESCO Health Centre IV in Kibaale town council on Tuesday night.

The ambulance, a Land Cruiser Reg. No. UBB 655K was donated to the health centre by Dr Emmily Kugonza, the Buyanja County Member Of Parliament.

The government will in the next financial year give an extra 20 million shillings to excelling Emyooga groups and SACCOS across the country. Health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng is calling for community participation in the fight against malaria as Uganda adopts a new malaria vaccine that will be introduced next year. She made the remarks as her Ministry together with partners, USAID Uganda Mission launched a new Malaria grant dubbed the U.S. Presidentโ€™s Malaria Initiative (PMI) Uganda Malaria Reduction Activity (PUMRA), that aims at reducing malaria infections by 50 % over the next five years in West Nile, Lango, Acholi, Karamoja and Busoga with funding amounting to 38 million US dollars.
