WEST NILE LEADERS LAUNCH MK PROJECT IN ARUA CITY
Leaders of greater west Nile led by the Arua city central division member of parliament hon. Jackson Buti Atima, have launched the team MK project ahead of his visit to west Nile on the 22nd of October 2022.
Atima however says that the MK project is centered on the agenda of championing unemployment among the youth, livelihood programs for the people of west Nile and entrench unity and diversity as the youth compose the biggest population of Uganda.
The residence city commission, Alice Akello, says, west Nile schools were hit by strikes in the beginning of the schools and she believes that with the coming of the MK project and its activities, this will help to reduce the rampant strikes and indiscipline cases among the youths in schools and the community.
According to Jacquie Aquram Namuyonga, the general secretary, the idea is not just to identify talent but also to nurture and develop talent amongst the youth which is the key ideology.
However the west Nile regional youth coordinator warned of coming to tell lies to the youth as west Nile youth are focused on unity and development projects in the region.
Meanwhile Mr. Max Mutooro the head of sports for team MK project, says that there will be a team experts who come on ground to identify the talents from all walks of sports discipline and nurture them to become better talents. He says sports will not only look at games only but will bring in the aspect of education and vocational skills training for the youth to let them get recognized.
