Let me also take this time to say my mind on the D'Wyne Gabana brand:
This is an icon who played a pivotal role in the transition from the old school westnile industry to the new school. Dwyne maintained songs with messages, but supplemented them with vibes for the young generation and added extra flavor with the Jamaican patois style. No one believed he was born of the land till he began dropping tunes like namba alu, mi asi ma te and others.
Unfortunately, we were not even ready because he was ahead of the audience, by the time the industry started catching up with him, Dwyne was already in his prime and ready to blow; Since the industry couldn't accommodate him, he lost his balance a bit, but never lost focus. Dwyne is a revolutionist in the industry, and so tomorrow is fully dedicated to him. We shall party kpere 'bani ama kuria!
