My beloved people of Arua Central City Division,

I greet you all with the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah Almighty.

It is always a great honour and privilege to serve you as your Member of Parliament. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for the trust and support you have continuously shown me. Your hopes, your struggles, your dreams—these are what fuel my passion and commitment every day as I represent you in the August House.

As we continue working together to build a better, more inclusive, and prosperous Arua Central, I want to assure you that I remain steadfast in championing your concerns—be it in education, healthcare, youth empowerment, economic growth, or infrastructure development.

Let us stay united, peaceful, and focused. Together, we can shape a future where every citizen, regardless of background, has access to opportunity and dignity.

May Allah (SWT) bless our efforts, guide our intentions, and protect our families and our beautiful city.

'Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as a trial; and to Us you will be returned.'

A reminder: This life is a test—both in hardship and in ease. Remain patient in trials, and grateful in blessings. Our journey always leads us back to Allah. May we return to Him in a state of faith, peace, and righteousness.

We often overlook a profound truth — that people themselves can be tests in our lives.
Not every test comes in the form of hardship, loss, or pain. Sometimes, it is the people around us — their actions, their words, their behavior — that challenge our patience, character, and faith. Some may test us through their kindness, while others may test us through their ignorance, arrogance, or even hostility.

Allah reminds us in the Qur'an:
“And We have made some of you [people] as a trial for others — will you have patience? And your Lord is Ever Seeing.”
(Surah Al-Furqan 25:20)

This divine wisdom teaches us that every encounter — whether with a friend, a stranger, or even an enemy — is part of our spiritual journey. Each person in our life is a potential test: a test of patience, forgiveness, gratitude, humility, or perseverance.

So the question remains, as posed by Allah Himself:
"Will you have patience?"

In recognizing people as tests, we are reminded to respond with grace, patience, and reliance upon Allah — for He sees and knows all, and He alone rewards the steadfast.

By offering peer support, mentorship, and inclusive spaces for dialogue and healing, young people actively contribute to the reintegration process, helping their peers rebuild trust, find purpose, and reconnect with society. Empowering youth to lead in peacebuilding efforts is not only strategic—it is essential for lasting peace.

Young people play a crucial role in preventing conflicts, fostering social cohesion, and countering violent extremism, making them essential drivers of sustainable peacebuilding. While youth are often disproportionately affected by armed conflicts and political instability, they also possess the energy, innovation, and resilience needed to create lasting change.

To harness their potential, it is vital to actively engage young people in decision-making, conflict resolution, and peace processes at local, national, and international levels. Youth-led initiatives, inclusive governance, and access to education and economic opportunities can significantly contribute to a more peaceful and just society.

By investing in youth leadership, strengthening community engagement, and promoting dialogue across diverse groups, we can empower young people to be catalysts of positive transformation in their communities and beyond.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) never treated anyone with insolence. He did not swear at anyone, nor was he rude, nor did he curse anyone. He would not stretch his feet while sitting with people out of respect. He used to sit with the poor, the needy, and even the slaves out of humbleness. We need to bring back those impeccable manners in our everyday life.

Islam teaches us to be on our best behavior at all times. It teaches us to be kind, merciful, just, and helpful. In many places around the world, people were so strongly influenced by the manners of the Muslim traders that they accepted Islam. This is how we should live our lives too.
