Ensi eno banange, the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) has rejected the results of the Kawempe by-election, where their candidate finished second with 8,500 votes. The election was won by NUP's Erias Nalukoola, who secured 17,764 votes. The NRM CEC cites allegations of vote rigging, poor planning within the party, and internal divisions as reasons for their loss.

UPDATE: NUP’s Elias Nalukoola Luyimbazi declared winner of the Kawempe North by-election, securing 17,764 votes. His closest competitor, NRM’s Nambi Faridah, garnered 8,593 votes.

• DP Henry Kasacca – 100 votes
• IND Luwemba Lusswa – 240 votes
• FDC Mukiibi Sadat – 239 votes
• IND Hanifah Karadi – 381 votes
