Bugisu United Name Magomu as Acting Head Coach Ahead of New Season

Eastern Region League side Bugisu United FC has confirmed that Coach Magomu Ben will take charge of the team for the 2025–2026 season. Magomu, who served as assistant coach last season, assumes the head coaching role in the absence of Coach Kisakye Emmanuel, who is set to pursue further studies after completing his CAF B Diploma.

The club also announced that player-coach and captain Hassan Wadenga will continue to play a dual role, working closely with Magomu to guide the team. Meanwhile, Coach Kintu Manshoor, popularly known as Man Man, has transitioned from the technical bench to a higher role in the talent scouting and advisory department.

Bugisu United, who finished second in the Eastern Region League last season, will begin their campaign with an away fixture against JMC Hippos FC at Kakindu Stadium on 21st October 2025.

‎The game was prematurely halted in the 70th minute, with Mbale Heroes leading 1–0 courtesy of Akram Shafic Muzanyi’s 3rd-minute penalty. The downpour left the playing surface waterlogged, making ball movement impossible.

‎The match will resume on Monday, 6th October 2025, kicking off at 10:00 a.m. at the same venue, to complete the remaining 20 minutes of play.
