ERFAs Uganda Cup Preliminary Round Draw Held
Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) Uganda Cup Preliminary Round Draws were held on Friday, 28th November 2025 – ERFA Offices, Iganga
Four teams will qualify for the Round of 64, where they will face teams from the Uganda Premier League, FUFA Big League, and other Regional FAs.
To determine the four qualifying teams, ERFA resolved that two teams will come from Bukedi and Bugisu Provinces (former Nile Group), while two teams will qualify from Busoga Province (former Nile Group).
ERFA will not postpone the Eastern Region League (3rd Division) because matches are played only once a week, normally on Tuesdays.
Regional League teams will receive a bye in the first round. Sixteen teams from DFAs and Provinces will play playoffs in the first round.
ERFA Chairperson Competition vehemently warned that league teams that will not play Uganda Cup will be docked 2 points and 2 goals in the league.
