I am actually a quiet admirer of Eddy Yawe and his music. Bobi Wine's music not exactly. Most likely because of my age. Recently, I was also amazed by Eddy Yawe's interview on one of the TV programs Hosted by Simon Muyanga Lutaaya.
These boys have an authentic and triumphant history common to most Ugandans and that connection is inspirational. I think the boys have worked for and rightly earned their place.
They may not be from the pedigree of the famous Kololo elite families of the 1990s but here they are on their own terms. And we should celebrate them because their story inspires many as good role models.
Theirs is a story of possibilities, endurance for any young person who chooses the path of putting in the time to make things happen and build a future one envisions.
We all must strive to stay the course amidst the many roadblocks on our journey and finish the race. That is what makes every ounce of our efforts transformational.
