Senegal has a new prime minister.

Ousmane Sonko was chosen by the newly inaugurated president of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

JUST IN: Minister of state for finance, planning and economic development, Amos Lugoloobi, has been arrested over the iron sheets saga.

The minister and others at large are reported to have shared amongst themselves iron sheets that had been released by the office of the prime minister as relief aid to the people of Karamoja.

Karamoja affairs minister, Mary Gorreti Kitutu, was arrested and is on remand at Luzira maximum prison over the same matter.

BREAKING: The permanent secretary in the office of the prime minister, Keith Muhakanizi, is dead. He passed on from Milan, Italy.

Muhakanizi previously served as secretary to the treasury and permanent secretary at the ministry of finance and economic planning.
