Kibaale District Local Government hands over 800 Hoes to beneficiaries from Kibaale District.
The Hoes were received from the Office of the Prime Minister through the ministry of Bunyoro Affairs.
They were handed over to the beneficiaries today at the District Headquarters by Kibaale Angalia Godwin Kasigwa together with C.A.O Katotoroma John.

President Yoweri Museveni has called on leaders of cultural institutions to take full responsibility of uniting people and establish avenues to teach indigenous languages and cultural norms and protect their property.

KDR Updates:
The Kibaale Grade One Magistrate court, presided over by His Worship Derick Kemanzi yesterday remanded a 22- year youthful man to Kibaale government prison on charges of aggravated defilement.
The remanded is Victor Agaba, a teacher at Kitutu Parents Primary Government Aided School in Kitutu Trading Center, Karama Sub County, and Kibaale district
Prosecution told to court that, on 4th last month Agaba while in Kitutu Trading Center was caught red-handed while performing a sexual act with a 14-year juvenile whose name withheld because she is still a minor but a Pupil at the same School.
In dock, Agaba was not allowed to take any plea because grade one Court lacks jurisdiction to such capital nature offences prompting the magistrate to send him to Kibaale government prisons on remand till 21st this month for mentioning of his case.

KDR Updates:
Police in Kibaale district are holding a 45-year-old woman identified as Teddy Nalumaga, a resident of Busaana cell in Kibaale Town Council on allegations of stealing half a sack of charcoal.
It is alleged that, Nalumaga was caught red-handed in the wee hours of today morning at around 04am stealing charcoal from a burning place and a property of one John Byabasaija.
According to Joseph Semuli, a casual worker of Byabasaija says that he found Nalumaga busy putting charcoal in the sack when he had gone to inspect the charcoal burning site.
On interrogation at Kibaale police, Nalumaga dismissed the accusations of stealing charcoal but said she had decided to take charcoal from Ssemuli in revenge of the latter's failure to pay her Shs5000 on top of stealing her cooked fish.
Nalumaga has however asked for forgiveness from the owner John Byabasaija.

KDR Updates:
53 youths from Kibaale district out of 454 youths in Bunyoro region have graduated in different vocational skills at the Bunyoro Presidential Skilling Hub in Masindi.
This was during the graduation Ceremony of the 2nd and 3rd intakes held on the 03rd of this month at Bunyoro Presidential Skilling Industrial Hub in Kimengo Sub County, Masindi district.
The youths were skilled in different courses including, Building and construction, Bakery and Confectionery, Welding and Metal Fabrication, Carpentry, Hairdressing, Knitting, Shoe Making, and Tailoring.

KDR Updates:
Kibaale district has received one of the appointed Assistant Resident District Commissioners.
Godfrey Asiimwe, who is biologically born in Kisindizi village in Karama Sub County -Kibaale District is the new Assistant Resident District Commissioners for Kibaale.
Asiimwe has served in different sectors like education and politics where he worked as head teacher London College schools in Nansana –Wakiso district, worked as the Deputy Speaker from 2005-2011 for Kampala City council among other duties.
Godwin Angalia Kasigwa, the RDC Kibaale while welcoming Asiimwe in his office said among the major duties he has to serve include fighting corruption, promoting patriotism among the youths and mobilizing government resources.

KDR Updates:
The Uganda Bureau of Statistics-UBOS has revealed that Ugandans living abroad will be recorded during the forthcoming national census.
Uganda is set to conduct the National Population and housing Census 2024 starting Friday this week until 19th this month.
Enumerators have however called for more technical assistance especially on how to use the computer tablets designated for census enumeration exercise.
