How long does it take to get the Uganda filming permit?

Filming in Uganda requires you to have acquired accreditation, and the location permits for the locations that you will be filming in.

Media accreditation can take about 3 to 7 working days if all the documents needed are submitted.

Can l use a drone to film chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park?

The answer to this is yes and no.
You are allowed to film with your drone in Kibale National Park while on a chimpanzee filming shoot but only limited to filming ariel shots of the forest, if you are lucky and you get to see them in the trees.

Itā€™s however recommended that while using a drone you maintain a safe shooting distance from these primates.

They are easily affected by unfamiliar sounds of the drone so itā€™s advisable that when you are filming chimps you use cameras which donā€™t make any noise and that will get you into proximity with the chimps in a safe distance of 10 meters.
