SAD:
VIDEO;Two unidentified students from Senior 4 and Senior 6 at Kyenjojo Secondary School have reportedly lost their lives this evening in a road traffic accident along the Kyenjojo-Fort Portal Road in Ngezi. The students are said to have been walking home to Buhisi when a speeding Toyota Wish struck them from behind.

No official statement has been released by the police yet, but witnesses have confirmed the incident.

Dan Mugabo,alias Dan Aga a sports presenter at Jubilee Radio, has been nominated to run for the LCIII seat in Rwengaju Sub-County on the NRM ticket.

Mugabo’s manifesto emphasizes building an empowered community through enhanced education, improved healthcare, and economic growth, all anchored on transparent leadership. He was officially nominated by Rodgers Musinguzi, the NRM registrar for Kabarole District, at the Busoro Sub-County headquarters.

Tragedy in Hoima:
A lorry transporting Hoima traders is said to have overturned in the wee hours of today, reportedly killing 19 and 13 left with serious injuries.

In the photo, residents have gathered at the Hoima mortuary to identify the victims.

SAD: The untimely death of Agnes Kyarimpa, an accountant and assistant manager at Hits FM has this evening sent shockwaves through the Fort Portal City community and all those who knew her!
According to sources, Kyarimpa has succumbed to lung cancer at Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital where she was getting treatment.
May her soul rest in peace. 🕊️ Amen.

POLITICS; National Unity Platform (NUP) has fronted Mr Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine for Presidency.
According to the results by Electoral Commission Uganda, for the presidential election 2021, Kyagulanyi garnered a total of 3,631,437 votes making 35.08%, becoming the second to the announced winner Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who got 6,042,898
making it 58.38% of the total voters.

The Catholic Diocese Of Kasese under the leadership of Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira, has officially begun preparations to lead the 2026 Namugongo Pilgrimage. A Steering Committee was announced yesterday by the Vicar General to guide the planning process for the Uganda Martyr's day June 3, 2026.

Following Fort Portal Diocese, which led the pilgrimage in 2022, Kasese becomes the next in line from the Ecclesiastical Province of Mbarara.
