Standing proudly on the summit of Kilak Mountain in Amuru District, I’m reminded that every climb is more than just reaching the top it’s about embracing the journey, the challenges, and the stories that shape the land beneath our feet. Kilak Mountain is not only blessed with breathtaking views but is also deeply rooted in the rich cultural heritage of the Acholi people, who have cherished this place for generations as a symbol of identity, resilience, and tradition. As I took in the endless horizon, I felt connected to the history, beauty, and strength that this remarkable mountain represents. Moments like these inspire gratitude, courage, and a deeper appreciation for Uganda’s hidden treasures.

Yesterday, 27th June 2026, I had the privilege of participating in the Gulu Menstrual Hygiene Run.

It was more than just a run it was a powerful movement to raise awareness and take action against period poverty, a challenge that continues to affect the health, education, confidence, and dignity of many girls and women across Northern Uganda.

I am proud to have played my part in this meaningful cause. Every step we took symbolized hope, solidarity, and our shared commitment to ensuring that no girl misses school, loses opportunities, or suffers in silence simply because of a natural biological process.

Ending period poverty requires all of us individuals, organizations, leaders, and communities to work together to break the stigma surrounding menstruation, promote menstrual health education, and make menstrual hygiene products accessible and affordable for every girl.

As we continue this journey, let us remember that supporting menstrual health is not just about providing sanitary products; it is about promoting equality, protecting dignity, and creating opportunities for every girl to thrive.

I remain committed to supporting initiatives that create lasting, positive change in our communities. Together, we can end period poverty and build a future where every girl can achieve her full potential without barriers.

Behind my back is Elephante Commons , but behind my life is God’s Word.

Today I walked in this building and got reminded that the strongest foundation is not what we build with our hands, but what God builds in our hearts.

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

One step at a time, one day at a time, walking in faith and purpose. 🙏

Grateful to be a panelist at the 7th South-South Institute on Sexual Violence 💜
This year’s theme, “Courage, Hope & Dignity for Survivors of Sexual Violence,” was a powerful reminder of the importance of survivor-centered conversations and action.
As a youth advocate, I was proud to share my perspective on dignity, healing, and empowering survivors through advocacy and collective action.

The community exhibition in Awach was more than a showcase it was a moment of connection. Through dance, the Youth Advocacy Network transformed memory into motion.

What unfolded in that space was not just performance, but a gathering of stories held in bodies, carried through rhythm, and shared with a community willing to witness. Every step, every pause, every gesture spoke of resilience, of lived experiences, and of the courage it takes to be seen and heard.

As the space filled with movement, it also filled with something deeper recognition. A reminder that art can hold what words sometimes cannot, and that when young people are given the space to express, they don’t just perform they shift the atmosphere, they invite reflection, they create connection.

This exhibition in Awach became a place where memory was not only remembered, but felt. Where the community didn’t just observe, but engaged listening with their eyes, their hearts, and their presence.

Grateful for the youth who showed up fully, for the stories shared so openly, and for a community that continues to hold space for truth, healing, and expression.
